This is an extremely outdated property. Most of the rooms have no windows that let in light. Breakfast room very over crowded with limited offerings. Does not measure up to its star rating

Amazing staff and location.

We stayed for a week in September. We arrived early to the hotel and were greeted by Frederico. As we were there several hours early our room was not ready. He made arrangements to secure our bags. Gave us an overview of the hotel and made us feel so very welcome. He was such a wonderfully kind, generous, helpful person. The hotel also offers onsite breakfast that is a great way to start the day. Sylvia, who helps provide the breakfast in the morning was another bright and exceptional person working at the hotel. Extremely kind and helpful. The hotel is located wonderfully and provide easy access to St. Mark's, the Grand Canal and is a great jumping off point to start your day. It well maintained, clean and very well run. I highly recommend this spot in Venice.

One of my favorite hotels: elegant, refined, a true gem, and in an excellent location, halfway between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark’s Square, just a 5–6 minute walk from either.We spent almost a week there a year ago. The staff is very kind and helpful, especially one of the managers, a blonde lady whose name I unfortunately don’t know. She offered us an almost family-like hospitality, with her warm but never intrusive questions.The young man who works at the bar was equally kind and helped us carry our luggage to the port.The hotel is one of those rare places that genuinely puts its guests first, where you can feel that the staff truly loves what they do.I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I really hope to return!

Great location, but this is a 3-star hotel max.

The hotel and room is clean and served its purpose, but it should be a 3 star hotel at best. The location is perfect. It is located between the Rialto bridge and St. Mark’s Basilica. The breakfast is pretty good. The hotel also has a bar that they claim is always open, but we never saw anyone behind the bar. The room needs improvement. First, it is one of the rooms where you have to have your key in the light switch to run the lights and AC. You only get one key, so the AC and power are not on when you are not there. The bathroom needs attention. Our shower was broken in several ways. The shower has two different holders for the shower head, but neither of them hold the shower head in place. The shower door handle was falling off. The hot water for the shower and sink both affect each other and both were affected each time the toilet flushes. The toilet flush was broken but operable. The towels had a bad smell to them. The quilt was stained. Everything functioned to some degree, but it was not how it should be.

This hotel is great since it's right around lots of things like fondala rides, gelato, and countless shops/restaurants. The fridge works great in the rooms and is actually cold compared to the Ulisse hotel in Sorrento. The pillows are fluffy and sleeping is great. The only downside is that the TVs don't live up to today's era but there is so much to do you likely won't be watching too much!!!
