Location

This hotel is located opposite the railway station in Mestre, some 5 min from the centre of Venice. It is the ideal base for exploring the city as well as the whole region. A selection of shops are to be found close at hand and it is just 7 km to the airport.

Facility

4 junior suites, 5 single rooms and 51 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room.     An excellent and good value for money hotelI do not usually post references for hotels until I have left. Today in an exception as we received excellent service when something went wrong. Nothing really major but the Manager Daniele fixed our problem quickly and exceeded our expectations. The hotel's location is very convenient, right opposite Venice Mestre railway station so you don't need to stay on Venice island with all its problems and bridges to cross The hotel rooms are well appointed, breakfast is generous and inexpensive and overall this is a very good hotel + excellent staffWorth considering.     I will start with the positives of this hotel. Its opposite the train station and only 100 metres from the buses. So perfect for getting to and from Venice City and the Airport. Its only €3 return on the train per person to the City. There are in my opinion many negatives to this hotel. On arrival we had to wait at Reception despite being the only guests, for almost 15 minutes without even being acknowledged, to check in. The member of staff answered a phone call and dealt with that and didnt even apologise for the delay. He told us we had the last room in the Hotel M12. The room was very very basic ... no wardrobe, just 8 hangers hanging on poles. No drawers to put personal belongings in. There was a dressing table but the TV was above it no mirror. Strangely there was a chair but didnt see the point of that when you couldn't use the dressing table. I ended up using a pouffe as my dressing table up against a big mirror. The hairdryer was awful kept cutting out so couldn't dry my hair properly. The bed was ok but really could do with new mattresses as there were large dents. The shower never drained properly and flooded the bathroom floor so I had to clear the water up with towels every time we had showers. Its obvious the plug hole/drain needed cleaning .... hense the flood. The safe in the room was literally on the floor so if you struggle getting on your knees on the floor you've no chance using it .... not practical at all. The breakfast room was very tiny and you were on top of each other having breakfast. At one point my husband had to ask a lady to move her chair in as he was completely trapped. Not ideal at all. The walls where we were sat were full of food stains and there was a small dado rail which I could have written my name in the dust it had clearly never been cleaned. If you wanted a teaspoon for your cuppa these were nowhere to be seen you had to ask for them and even then there was a struggle for staff to get them.     Great access to train station and bus journeys, station and stops right outside hotel.Area very dirty, wouldn’t risk venturing out at night.Hotel mediocre, staff very pleasant by the room for a 4 star hotel not the best.Bed uncomfortable, mould in the shower, shower head which didn’t stay put and cubicle tiny.Air con didn’t work, needs an update overall.Breakfast ok if you like pastries and fruit.Plus side is no need for a safe deposit, just out a code in to activate the safe.All in all an ok stay but could be improved.     Highly recommend for families. easy to get to by bus from the airport and very affordable. Staff is very friendly. Clean rooms. Free slippers.     Don't judge a book by it's cover!!

    Firstly you get off the bus and you look at the area graffiti and you think what have I booked. Then you walk down the side of the building and through the doors and WOW marble everywhere very friendly staff checked if we got a free room upgrade with free mini bar!! Went to the room very modern and massive bed see pics. Bathroom was modern and clean shower pressure was amazing with free bodywash and shampoo. LOCATION We just paid for a 48hr public transport ticket this covered bus into Venice and all the water busses hoping on and off it was €35 each but well worth it. Bus from the hotel was about 15mins.BREAKFAST Continental breakfast cant highly recommend enough well worth the extra money see pics!! Great choice and well stocked see pics.
