  A wonderful stay in Venice

  Our stay at Ca’ Sagredo in Venice was absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm, making the experience feel truly special. The staff was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. Everything from check-in to departure was handled with such care and professionalism. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely return on a future trip to Venice!   Mostly good experience.

  The hotel felt palatial and you felt you were immersed in Venetian history. Our room was very satisfactory with a courtyard view and a comfortable king sized bed. Bathroom was nice with good water pressure. Hallway rugs were buckled and were a trip hazard particularly for older individuals. Be careful. Breakfast was buffet, satisfactory, friendly and coffee was served immediately. The only problem was on initial arrival to the hotel I was seated by a hotel staff member (server;waitress) outside along the canal to enjoy the view. She stated she would be right back and she never returned. I waited and waited. Then I went to find her and she was in a room conversing with other hotel staff. I approached her and reminded her that I had been waiting for her for a long time. She had forgotten about me. She apologized and explained that a person had died who was going to have his/her wedding at the hotel. So the wedding was canceled. As a result, she forgot about me. Not the best first impression I received from this hotel. Another warning: the hotel arranged a private morning tour for my husband and I with Massimo Tessari which cost $400.00 -500.00. We still have his card. Our warning to you is “Max” speaks very poor English. We didn’t understand hardly anything he said. Request someone who speaks understandable English otherwise the cost of this expensive tour is a waste.   Great stay in a beautiful palazzo in a quiet yet central location

  This is a beautiful hotel very centrally located in Venice. Customer service was lovely, friendly and eager to help. The rooms was tiny but well designed, comfortable and had all the amenities of a luxury hotel. Luckily we left our suitcases in a storage locker and came with a carry on for two nights. They acknowledged our wedding anniversary with a bottle of delicious prosecco and a card. This was a very nice and much appreciated gesture. All in all this was a very nice stay in a beautiful hotel in a great quiet location in Venice.   Serious Security Issue – Unauthorized Person Allowed to Stay

  I stayed at Ca’ Sagredo Hotel and had a very concerning experience.During my stay, an individual who was not registered under my booking was allowed to stay at the hotel using only my name. I clearly informed the staff that this person was not authorized and that I felt unsafe.Despite this, the hotel failed to take appropriate action and still allowed the individual to remain on the premises.This is not a minor issue — this is a serious security failure. As a guest, I expected basic safety and proper identity verification, which was clearly not upheld.The hotel’s response afterwards has also been disappointing. Communication has been slow, and the compensation offered does not reflect the seriousness of the situation.I would strongly recommend that the hotel review its security procedures to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

  This place can't claim to even approach a 5 star ratingThe room was comfortable, small and functional but with inadequate lighting especially with only a small glazed door for natural light. The light switches worked in seemingly random fashion and the one accessible electric plug socket in the bedroom didn't function. The hairdryer could only be used in the bathroom, this was reported but not acted upon. There was no functional WiFi anywhere in the hotel, the two in house wifi networks were rarely available and neither ever had any internet access - in 2026 this is ridiculous. Breakfast at €30 per person per day is outrageous, there was plenty to eat if you are happy with bread, cakes, ham and cheese, even coffee was only brought in very small cups and refills had to be requested and awaited. The small dish of cooked food available at the buffet was stone cold and thus inedible, any fresh hot food was charged extra and very expensive. The decor is purportedly authentic but that is no excuse for threadbare carpets and pealing paintwork. The vast collection of glass ornaments dominates.
