    Highly Recommend for a One Night Stay Close to the Airport

    Really cute country hotel, the opposite of a cookie cutter corporate franchise. Nice to have 24 hour reception because our plane wasn't scheduled to arrive until 10:15pm and we worried it could be delayed. Comfortable room and good staff, less than a mile from the airport.     Pool closed entire stay, lied to in response to complaint, then ignored

    I booked specifically for the pool and spa as a treat for my children on the final night of our holiday in Venice. The pool had been closed since 21st March but I was not told until the morning of our arrival on 27th March — six days after the closure began. By then it was too late to cancel or book elsewhere. We spent the entire day stuck in the room.I complained by email on 8th April. The hotel ignored it for weeks, only replying after I threatened a review. Their response contained false information about their ability to contact guests in advance — something I was able to disprove using their own messages. I replied with the evidence. They opened the email and said nothing. I sent another follow up. Same again.Six weeks, multiple ignored emails, and a hotel that only engages when a bad review is threatened. The receptionist was lovely, but the management's handling of this has been dishonest and dismissive from start to finish.
