Worst wifi connection in the universe

This place is nice and all but they have the worst wifi i have ever experienced at any hostel/hotel. I am currently using my data to write this review because of how trash the wifi is. You can connect to the wifi for literally a minute then it stops working. And during the time the wifi does work, it can barely load google. The worst part is that it says that I have full connection. Now I am considering going to the airport to use their wifi and just leaving this place.

Spacious and Comfortable

This was one of the most spacious hostels i've stayed in, and huge lockers. Friendly reception, although they're only around for specific hours. If you're checking out before their hours you can leave your keys in the lock box. Nice kitchen and large common area, but this isn't a place for someone looking for a hostel that offers a lot of organized events and group activities. Quiet and convenient location.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, you do have to pay a tourist tax though and the reception is only open 1pm to 8pm! The location of the hostel is brilliant, we stayed in a double room and the view of the canal was beautiful! The grounds are nice as well. The only downsides were that there was no safe or locker in the room and also there was only one shower so we had to wait quite a bit to have one. We'd recommend this hostel though because of its location and price (compared to the rest of Venice).

The hostel is in an ideal location: about 5/10 minute walk from the train station and a 5/10 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The reception was bright and the receptionist very helpful. I stayed in a seven bed female dorm. The linen was provided. I was on a bottom bunk and there was no room to sit up, however there was a desk and chair in the room. Security lockers with ample room for a suitcase/backpack were provided with a key. However, the bathroom wasn't very nice. The door didn't have a lock and the shower drain was blocked, so it was more like having a shower. There was no real social area, which made the hostel feel a bit isolated. Also, walking back at night on your own was a bit daunting, it could have been better lit.

The check in process was so painful as they had a new trainee on. Sweet guy but there was a line up of people and it took over an hour to check in. There was black mold in the bathroom, the pillows were falling apart and felt like it was full of socks, and bugs were everywhere. An ant crawled in my ear in the middle of the night. It has a good location but I would pay more to avoid breathing in mold.
