  Budget hotel, great location but very dated

  A one-night stay for us, and it was fine for what we needed. Location is excellent and on the main island unlike most reasonably priced accommodation. It's a budget hotel, and by that I mean Venice version of a budget. The room was incredibly dated, parts of the bathroom looked like they were on their last legs. I was a very frustrated on arrival as I booked a triple room - one queen bed and one single - and our room was just one double bed for me and my brother. Fortunately it turned out they were two singles pushed together however they were made-up with bedding for a double bed so we had to improvise. There were no staff on the premises for me to raise this with and as we were only staying for one night we made do. Like I said, the location is great so if its a flying visit then I would happily stay again but certainly not for any longer period of time.

  The location is perfect. Close to the train station, shops, restaurants but also a very quiet location. Breakfast is very European in style and that means simple: croissant, toasts and coffee. Service was good. Host was very responsive and kind.

  Stay in a traditional venetian property.

  Just back from a four night stay in Casa Mimma, Santa Croce, Venice. A simple, clean, comfortable, secure, bed and breakfast in an excellent location for bus and train stations. We had a ground floor, double en suite room looking out onto a small patio garden. Walking from the bus station, we found the premises quite easily with the use of a good map. There is a door buzzer and keysafe box outside to which we were emailed the crucial number, day before arrival. We were checked in by the pleasant owner, given our room keys, a front door key and a key to the small safe. Decor is typical venetian style with ample drawer and wardrobe space, small television. The bed was very comfortable and when requested, we got two extra pillows. The shower room was clean, fresh towels, and toiletries provided. Loads of hot water and good shower. Breakfast is served between 8 and 10 and is very simple - croissants, toast, jam, butter and tea/coffee. We enjoyed our stay and were able to see most of Venice over our four day break.

  Good location, close to the water bus stops and not far from the Grand Canal. Nearby are various cafes, bars, shops, stalls and even a laundrette which was very handy. Some of the rooms have a shared bathroom, the larger rooms don't. Bathroom felt a bit tight but had a shower and hair dryer which was useful.Breakfast is simple but beautiful, a basket of croissants, toast, and bread served with butter, jams and hot drinks. The breakfast is served I. The small garden which is beautifully shaded and is open to use all day.The staff were friendly, chatty and helpful.There is a city tax to be paid to the hotel and having an extra bed in the room for a third person costs extra, this wasn't clear when we booked via a third party.The bedrooms look a bit dated. Overall a good location, good staff, great breakfast and budget price.

  Honestly this hotel is a must if you are visiting venice. Cheap but amazingly luxurious. The owner is very sweet and friendly and the facilities were a breath of fresh air after our disappointing Paris trip. An amazing romantic getaway for our engagement.
