Location

This hotel is very well located in a small square in Venice, 200 m from Piazza San Marco and about 300 m from the city centre. The establishment is near many restaurants and shops.

    The stay was very stressful and disappointing from the beginning. Upon arrival, there was nobody at reception, the towel rack was broken and there were no bath towels provided. The bed was dusty and had hair on it, and the minibar was empty with mould inside the fridge.The worst incident happened during the night of 5 May, between around 3:40–4:40am, when a drunken man was yelling and punching doors on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I was unable to sleep and felt very scared. The hotel later launched a police investigation because some doors were damaged.What was most concerning was the hotel’s dismissive attitude in handling the situation. There was no apology or follow-up the next day to check on guests after such a serious disturbance. Combined with the poor check-in experience, the overall stay felt very unprofessional, and frustrating

    A Budget Hotel and Reasonable Value for Money

    We stayed here for 4 nights after 5 weeks in Europe, before heading back to Australia. I booked it, as it was within my budget and to be honest, after almost 6 weeks away, we were looking to be a little more frugal towards the end of our trip. Location wise, the hotel was conveniently close to the Rialto Bridge, St. Marks Square and the grand Canal. The room was comfortable enough and reasonable when considering what we paid. It was a little difficult to find when we first arrived (late at night), with Google Maps struggling to provide us with accurate directions. A call to the hotel was diverted to a nearby sister hotel, where the duty concierge was able to provide us with better directions. As it turned out, as it was after hours, we had to go to that hotel first to pick up the key, as the Citta De Milano desk is unattended after hours. After our initial difficulties in finding the place, we had an enjoyable stay here in Venice.

    The most uncomfortable hotel I've ever stayed at.

    This is possibly the most uncomfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff on the desk were not very helpful. There was nowhere to safely leave bags when checking out. So, if you need a late check out or a hotel that has a "safe" storage for your bags, stay elsewhere. It was also extremely difficult to find at the outset, as Google maps takes you to a street 50 yards away.

    This is an old hotel, looked old school but it was clean and the breakfast was very tasty. Location was good for what we needed. The bed was really firm and pillows flat and our room lacked a view but it was a good price and everything was fairly walkable.

    Great but issues on arrival

    A lovely hotel with a renaissance style interior, located just a 5 minute walk from st. Marks square and also not too far from the central canals of Venice the Città di Milano is in a great location. The room was comfortable and well maintained but we had some issues on arrival as our booking wasn’t in the system and it took awhile to get this problem sorted, we also arrived in the middle of the night and had to go to another hotel that the citta di Milano is partnered with to get checked in. Aside from this it was a excellent stay in a beautiful city
