Location

The hotel is in Quarto d’Altino, between Venice and Treviso. The Grand Canal in the centre of Venice is only 25 minutes away by train, whilst the train station is 10 minutes from the hotel. 80 non-smoking rooms are located on 5 storeys and can be reached by lift.     Good but with a few caveats

    Stayed one night after a cruise before flying the next day. Hotel was ok, but not great. Rooms large and comfortable beds, but the air conditioning was so loud we couldn’t have it on overnight. Not too much of an issue for us but would be a problem if staying in summer. The hotel is around 20 minutes away from the airport and offers a free shuttle. However this must be booked in advance and is only available at limited times. We tried to bring our arrival shuttle forward and were told it was not possible. For our departure shuttle, we were advised at check in that it would be leaving 45 minutes earlier than booked as there were a large number of people going to the airport. Not a huge issue but quite frustrating as it meant an earlier start for us after a long day travelling and we arrived at the airport far too early to check in for our flight. A taxi instead of the shuttle will set you back approx €50 so not an easy option. Overall I would stay again, but only if the shuttle times worked with our flights.

    An Option for Visiting Venice

    I reserved two rooms for two nights to explore a bit of the area after a cruise. The hotel's shuttle service to and from the airport, the location, the room package value, and the hotel brand (IHG) were the major factors in the decision to stay at this hotel. Our friend's and our king bed premium rooms were large and quiet. In the bathroom there was both a tub and a separate shower; towels were well supplied. Electrical outlets for devices and hair dryers were located in the desk area. The location was very close to the train into Venice; one-way tickets were 4 Euro each. The walk into the town of Quarto D'altino was interesting, though we only stopped for gelato and snacks at the grocery store. The food and service at the hotel's bar and dining room were good; attention to food allergens was great, since one of our group has Celiac Disease. One thing I found disconcerting was the lack of communication and organization among the reservations/guest services personnel, as well as with the customer, me. While I assumed all email communication content was accurate, I discovered at check-out, it was not; the verbiage/statements in emails were not honored. We liked the hotel, but my tip would be to disregard the Advance Pay reservation option and pay everything at check out.

    One of nice hotel near of Venice airport. The hotel is very clean but some of staff behaviour is not nice.Overall it is a good hotel.     You need to pre-book the free shuttle from Marco Polo airport. I arrived early and they were happy to change the time of the shuttle for me. The journey to the hotel is about 20 minutes and goes through the countryside and not along main roads. I wondered where I was going. The hotel seemed very empty and was very quiet and very clean. My room was large with a huge bed. The facilities included a fridge (contained items to purchase), a free bottle of water, kettle with tea, Nespresso machine with coffee. I couldn’t find any English TV channels but no problem as I was only there for one night. There was a bath with no taps, just a shower hose (no curtain). There was also a shower with a rain head and separate shower head: these ran too hot or too cold. The shower gel was black but softened my skin. Slippers were provided. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of items. There is nothing much around the hotel. I went for a walk in the morning and saw a Nordic walking trail, bus stop and right behind the hotel the station. There is a train timetable available in reception. Overall good value for money but further away from the airport than I had hoped.
