Location

This modern city hotel is housed in a former convent and is in one of the oldest quarters of Venice. The hotel is situated close to countless shopping venues, restaurants and bars as well as public transport network (around 100 m away). The nearest train station is some 500 m from the hotel and Venice airport is situated around 30 minutes from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 38 suites, 2 single rooms and 21 double rooms, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock.     Pleasant room with delicious breakfast

    Somewhat expensive, but worth it. The breakfast is great and the room comfortable. The hotel is a bit away from the tourist areas, but the staff are friendly, the room is pleasant, and the bed is comfortable.

    Beware - violation of privacy

    Hello, I am informing you of a violation of our privacy during our stay at the hotel Eurostar Residenza Cannaregio (Venice, Italy)At 3:19 am, someone knocked on our door (room #111) and then entered our room. We were terrified and couldn't sleep anymore. Immediately afterward, we also heard a lot of noise from other people in the hotel during almost 30 minutes.This morning at checkout, I informed Eric from the front desk of this serious incident. Eric just apologized and asked us to send an email. Unfortunately we had a flight to catch, I didn't have time to report this violation of privacy and the noise to the police. In addition to this incident, the hotel does not have duvets (only wool blankets which may cause allergy) and the housekeeping is very poor.Regards

    Nice hotel, good breakfast and normal size family rooms. 20-25 min walk from the centre, but always a nice city walk! Close to a few nice restaurants and street bars.

    The hotel is a lovely building and decorated nicely. The breakfast room is lovely but breakfast itself was poor! They had no proper English breakfast tea, and there were no fresh top ups of food. Food was cold and items missing if you went for breakfast anytime after 9am, despite it not finishing until 10.30am! The room i had was a standard double overlooking the garden which was lovely and also the room was very spacious, however it was extremely dark! The lighting was not adequate for the space and we asked for a lamp which never came. The decor was a bit dated, the tiles in the bathroom were cracked and needed replacing and the shower had no power at all, snd the plug in the main sink didn't work. The reception staff were really nice and polite but there was a man who ran the breakfast room who was really annoying and would not leave guests alone, fussing around and telling everyone what to do instead of leaving them to help themselves, and he was making people feel uncomfortable. I didn't bother going for breakfast again in the hotel after that as he put me off. Also I went to the toilet just off reception and the same man was banging on the door and shouting something for me to come out only a minute after id gone in because id locked the door and someone else wanted to come in. He made me feel very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.
