Location

This fashionable hotel is ideally situated in the historical centre, close to the city centre. There is a array of shops, pubs, bars and nightclubs as well as restaurants, and links to the public transport network in the immediate vicinity. Marco Polo airport is only 15 km from the hotel, about a 30-minute drive.

Facility

The hotel has 14 single rooms and 15 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

    Perfect location for us to explore Venice

    The location was good. Near the train and bus station, 20 minute walk to Rialto bridge and a further 10 mins to the square.The hotel decoration was lovely and the room was big and clean.Reception staff were helpful and friendly.Breakfast was continental, with lots of pasties and the waitress was helpful. Breakfast was at 7.30amWould return to this hotel.

    Pleasant little hotel close to the beginning of Canal Grande (Piazzale Roma). It was quite comfortable. We asked (and paid) for a room with the view onto the canal (rio) and the view we had. Along with early morning noise. Decide for yourself. Staff was very polite and spoke English. Toiletries were high quality, I’d say. A pity there were no tea, coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast (it’s B&B) was close to the Italian norm. For them it’s un'espresso e una brioche, for those from the north it’s bacon & eggs. Which we didn’t get. Still we didn’t go hungry. For Venice it is moderately priced. I’d like to recommend it, we liked it.

    Beautiful Place on a Canal Close to Restaurants and the Train Station

    A truly awesome place with outstanding staff. Spent a couple of nights here after a cruise, and found the rooms to be very clean and decorated nicely. Location was very good, right on a canal. Close to restaurants and the train station. Breakfast was cold cuts and numerous pastries - all very good. Our only complaint would be the shower with water flow being very minimal, and going from scalding hot to ice cold. It appears to be a Venice problem, not just a Hotel Gardena problem.

    Good location, but not impressed

    At €186 per night for a good location this is almost good value- for Venice. The room itself was tired and in need of an update. The worst bit was the aircon wasn’t working. We addressed this with reception who advised that this would be sorted before the evening. It wasn’t. They provided a fan which swilled hot air around the room all night, leading to a complete lack of sleep. When we mentioned this in the morning, they weren’t interested. The breakfast was ok, nothing special. The location was good and restaurants surrounding also very good. Bearing in mind this is only a 3*, the room size was good and the bed very comfortable - if we could have slept at all! In general, it was very “tired” and in need of updating.

    Nothing like a water taxi taking you to your hotel! That's Venice for you. Located right on a canal, this hotel was a perfect spot for our travels. The staff was wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay. The morning breakfast here was terrific with plenty of choices, and the location provided for easy access to so many areas of Venice.
