It's tough to find a 5 Star hotel that isn't amazing!

This hotel is across from Central Venice & does require a water taxi to get across the river. Public water Taxi's are available just a short walk away. The location of this property in an old mill/factory make it a very unique property. The common areas, rooms & property are amazing! Staff is very knowledgable & familiar with getting around Venice. Another feature is the property is also a short walk from many cafe's/shops & much less crowded, with a beautiful view of Venice. They also have an amazing rooftop bar!

A disappointing experience with Reception, otherwise hotel great.

The hotel itself is beautiful and access is very easy via the hotel ferry while staying there. Also great using public ferry to the train station.Our room was very nice, clean and well supplied with toiletries, however, we have only been able to give 4 stars due to the reception desk. When we arrived we were a little early and so were told they would message us when the room was ready. In fact the person on reception was quite dismissive. I queried it as in another Hilton hotel we had stayed at the previous night we were told we could check in early as we were loyalty programme members. I explained but could not find my membership number so the person asked me to fill in a form with my details so they could contact me when room was ready. I then watched 2 ladies who were clearly managing cruise guests going backwards and forwards getting room keys for people. The hotel clearly prioritises cruise guests - I saw this several times while staying there. We didn't receive any message so eventually went back ourselves and when we went back we found that the room was ready and clearly had been for a while as our luggage was already up there. This was really annoying and inconvenient having travelled all day to get there. The next day I then got emails advising that I had been added to the loyalty programme! I questioned it (again with the very same very dismissive person) to be told just to ignore the new membership, so I now get double emails for everything - she was very unhelpful.It's disappointing to only be able to give a 4 star review as the hotel itself (especially the breakfast) was lovely but it seems to be geared up to larger groups such as cruise and corporate events guests. Don't stay here otherwise you're held hostage

They have completely irresponsible people running this hotel. They claim to have hotel specific water taxis that run on time. Some of the hotel taxis are marked and some of them are not marked, a complete disgrace. And of course the pilot on the boat doesn't speak English. And then management can't do anything about it, they just look at you and say "okay." Please be aware, you're at the complete mercy of these water taxis and this hotel has a terrible company that is completely irresponsible when it comes to a time table. Try to find a hotel on the main island of Venice. Lovely hotel with great views.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful with a lovely rooftop pool over looking Venice. We arrived by speed boat which was just amazing. The staff were lovely & helpful. A great selection of breakfast. Our room was comfortable for 2 people with everything you need and serviced everyday with fresh towels etc. The hotel provides a water shuttle into St Mark's Square which is great for €18 each for your duration. We had a great time in Venice and would definitely recommend this hotel.
