  A Very Expensive Nightmare Stay

  While the hotel and rooms are beautiful, we got stuck with a room where just trying to get into it was a nightmare. There is a complicated process to try and enter the room that I have never seen in 50 years of traveling that we were never able to master during our three night stay. In most hotels, you enter the key card in the slot and you push the door open. That doesn’t happen in this hotel. Here you have to pull then push the door within a second of inserting the key card which is not on the door but on the adjacent wall. Many times it took 10 attempts at the pull/push process to get it just right to open the door. On several occasions we had to call the front desk to get them to open it and on one occasion even the hotel employee couldn’t get it to work. Also, be aware that if you get assigned a room facing the small canal, between the construction going on across the way and the party boats going by at night , it’s noisy and it was exacerbated by a family above us who obviously didn’t care that their child kept running back and forth across the room at night. No wonder no one asked us at checkout how we liked our experience. This system has been in place for some time, and we have not previously received complaints or experienced similar difficulties. Nevertheless, we regret that you found it challenging, and our team was, of course, happy to assist whenever needed.As for the construction work taking place across the canal, unfortunately, this is entirely beyond our control. The workers are not associated with our hotel, and we have no authority to determine their working hours or when they begin their activities in the morning.Our rooms are also well soundproofed to ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay. However, we are sorry if you were disturbed by noise from neighboring guests or passing boats, as we understand that everyone has different sensitivities to sound.We always strive to provide our guests with a pleasant and memorable experience, and we sincerely regret that yours was not as enjoyable as we would have wished.We appreciate your feedback, although we believe that some of the circumstances mentioned were beyond our reasonable control and do not fully reflect the quality of our hotel or the dedication of our team.Kind regards,Team Ai Cavalieri

  I can't recommend this hotel enough. The room was stunning with great views of the canals. The air conditioning worked well, the bathroom was incredibly spacious and the separate sleeping area for our child was ideal. The continental breakfast was the highlight. The staff were very attentive and friendly.The location is wonderful. It is far enough from the big sites that it feels quiet, yet is within a short walk to dining and shopping.   A Peaceful Oasis Away from the Crowds

  We stayed in the Royal Suite at Hotel Ai Cavalieri di Venezia, and it exceeded every expectation.The hotel is perfectly located -close enough to easily explore Venice, yet tucked away from the busiest tourist areas. After spending the day navigating the crowds, returning to the hotel felt like stepping into a peaceful oasis.We arrived by private water taxi, which the hotel arranged for us. Being picked up at the airport and taken directly to the hotel's private dock was one of the highlights of the trip. It's expensive, but it's an unforgettable way to arrive in Venice and absolutely worth the splurge.Our Royal Suite was simply stunning. It felt like living in a Venetian palace, with beautiful furnishings, soaring ceilings, and elegant details everywhere you looked. It was luxurious without feeling overdone and made our stay feel truly special.We also appreciated something that became invaluable during our visit: excellent air conditioning. Venice was extremely hot while we were there, and coming back to a cool, comfortable suite each afternoon made all the difference.One recommendation for anyone visiting Venice: make the trip to Burano. It's one of the most unique and charming places we've ever visited. The brightly colored homes, peaceful canals, and relaxed atmosphere make it feel like stepping into a painting. There are also wonderful boutiques and artisan shops that are perfect for finding unique gifts and local treasures.   Guestroom was very hot (25c)7. No AC or broken AC. They did provide a fan but not good enough. The breakfast was very good and the staff were great.   Hot, not desirable room

  Samuele from the front desk was very attentive and made our stay feel nice. However, the pictures online are deceiving for the type of room we stayed in. I want to make sure I help guests make a smart choice when staying here in room 403. It is the farthest room at the top floor of the hotel with only one very small window that makes you feel claustrophobic. The A/C is NOT cool, but only a fan that circulates the air. You take a cool bath, come out to the room and yet you’re sweating. When we communicated the A/C issues, they seemed to understand and acknowledged that it’s the top floor and the reason why it’s probably warmer..semmedUnderstanding and offered us a fan. Not okay, and not enough.. I actually get allergies when sleeping with a fan. Great hotel location (quiet), clean in general (not enough or “nice” toiletries, and could feel deceiving based on what I saw online. While we understand that Venice's summer humidity can make the perceived temperature feel higher, our air-conditioning system was functioning correctly and within the legal limits.
