    I stayed here for one night because of a flight delay and it was just lovely. I got upgraded to a room with a tiny balcony overlooking the canal and id highly recommend requesting for a room with canal views. It's a whole different experience. Everyone on the staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of vegetarian options, pancakes and fresh fruits. The room design is very "Venetian" with golden details and chandeliers, not my cup of tea but fits the atmosphere :) Overall a good experience, I'd stay here again.

    Lovely Small Hotel, Wonderful Staff

    Hotel Becher is a charming, centrally-located hotel. As a previous reviewer noted, it is quiet yet not isolated. My room was spacious and had all of the expected amenities. What made my stay especially noteworthy, though, was the hospitality of the staff—They met every request happily and thoroughly, and they went out of their way to solve a couple of problems I had with schedule changes. They even walked me to the dock for my 3:00 AM water-taxi pickup! I am grateful to all of them.

    First Trip to Venice (But Not the Last!)

    My wife and I spent a very pleasant five days at Hotel Becher. The location, atmosphere, decor and the attentive staff combined to give us a great first experience of Venice, and we would definitely return here for our next visit. The staff arranged for our pickup at the airport by private water taxi and we were whisked to the hotel’s private dock in 30 minutes. The hotel is in quick walking distance to all the major attractions of the beautiful city.

    I would stay in this hotel over and over. It was typically Venetian in decor, you can't beat the friendly, helpful nature of the staff, and the location was perfect. We pulled right up to the entrance with a private water taxi that we pre-arranged through the hotel and were treated like VIPs for our entire stay. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary so they surprised us with a bottle of champagne served on the little dock overlooking the canal. On our day of departure, the hotel manager came out to the lobby to wish us safe travels and bid us farewell. I will stay at Hotel Becher again and again whenever I get the opportunity to visit Venice.

    What a wonder stay !

    We recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary 14-17th May. What a great hotel we chose. Our room was lovely with lots of nice little extras and a direct view with a balcony over the canal, we got to sit and listen to the singing gondalier drivers and see the most wonderful sights. The location was excellent literally under 10 mins walk from St Marks Square water taxi stop (we took the public one from the airport) the breakfast was great, with a lovely continental selection and even eggs and bacon for hubby ! All of the staff were so helpful, kind and spoke excellent English (which was very good of them as we'd not made nearly enough effort to learn Italian). We wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again. Loved it !!!
