    Quiet, comfortable with lots of hot water, what more do you need? Excellent location, friendly staff (rooms were a bit of a 70’s vibe but we slept so well we didn’t care!)

    I booked 2 nights at this hotel and prepaid. Unfortunately couldn't arrive on first day, but was due to arrive next morning. Our room was cancelled by the hotel in the early morning, even was prepaid for 2 nights. No explanation. They didn't give us chance to arrive or discuss with them. I messaged the hotel straight away to ask for a reason, but no response. I messaged them few more times, still no response and no refund for the second night. They left us with nowhere to stay and no money to rent another accomodation. Probably sold our room to someone else, so they earned twice. Avoid!

    Pay for a better hotel

    Very central location however the hotel room was very small, our toilet was inside our shower and full of flies. We paid for breakfast and one of our days the breakfast area was empty we waited over an hour but no one turned up and there was no food left out (this was at 7:30 when breakfast starts). Very disappointed would not stay here again.

    Never ever go to this hotel-your stay would be a complete disaster! Many better options around!With the written down below I would like to express my deep disappointment, disgust from the behave of the Manager of the hotel which name is Teodor Terna. My aim is to prevent other Tourists that could be in the same situation to choose this place during their stay in Venice.Me and my mother (73 years old) handicap with difficulties in her walking arrived on 2nd of June and stayed in Hotel Canada until the 6th of June 2024. The first problem that people with difficulties in their movement have to face are the stairs to the main reception. Once we got there we were given a terrible, small, dirty and even for the Venice hotels realities a small room with the most uncomfortable toilet- bathroom ever. When we realized that this room is completely inappropriate for my mother and even for me as young person, we kindly asked the main manager Teodor to look for any possibilities for the upcoming days and that we are ready to pay for it, of course. His reaction to our concern demonstrated annoyance and no interested to help us at all, saying “I quote there is nothing available, you purchased an economy room” on booking. We tried to talk to him but he ignored any question from our side.Later we spoke to some of the other of his colleagues working in the Hotel and they said clearly that there are possibilities but only he can take the decision to give us another room.My mother couldn’t sleep in this horrible room and on the top of it, they didn’t put in advance as they are obliged to any anti mosquito’s advices to protect us! We tried to talk with him again and this time this so called manager exploded in screaming, insults, 1000 lies that he can’t do anything and that he doesn’t care at all about our demands.My mother told him that this behavior it’s completely inappropriate but he continued yelling at her. He didn’t have no respect regarding her health condition neither her age!Completely impolite, impudent and arrogant person!We told him that we want to talk and expose our concern to the Owners of the hotel or superior responsible than him. Then he decided to find a room and surprise we had it!!! Exactly like the same that his colleagues told us!We can’t understand how the owners of the hotel can keep him on this position?!!!This person doesn’t have anything related to empathy, politeness and understanding! He is a shame for this hotel and instead to make the things there better, he just ruined even more! He said proudly that the owners of the hotel wouldn’t tell him anything so he just doesn’t care!So dear people who want to have a nice time in the city of Venice, please be aware of this place This so called manager of the hotel can make your stay a night mare! Don’t be misled by the location, you can find really nice places there that would make your stay much pleasant.

    Very central location, a short walk to the Rialto Bridge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Double bed and ensuite. Plenty of spare blankets and pillows in the room should they be required. Heating/aircon and TV. It is a 2 Star so don't expect 5 star. But value for money and location, very impressed. It was clean and beds made every day. A few toiletries available. Breakfast was a fresh croissant/rolls and jam/butter with jug of hot coffee. Perfect start. There are 3 flights of stairs to get to reception.
