  The only one good thing is location was great. Close to anything. Otherwise i would not recommend . And it not about the style, its probably common Venice hotel style. But there is no health and safety. Anything you touch is falling, do not hold on stair rails as u will fall downstairs. We had horrible room with about 40 mosquitos in it , so make sure you bring repellents with you . Bed was uncomfortable it was two singles pushed together and it kept sliding apart. Room was freezing cold and there was no duvet . We found blankets in wardrobe later. Our fridge did not work and we wasted food because of that, staff did not care when we complained. So i assumed it was normal for them to hear that fridge is not working . We had no hot water on day one and asked the question 4 times . First half a day they said something broken and said someone to fix it on the way. However in the evening when we asked again they said that its hard hot water to access 3rd floor so we need keep open tap for a while to get hot water . Come on its 2026 , hot water is daily essential cant you upgrade your boilers? There is no hair dryer, no facilities to make hot drink . Breakfast is available from 8-10 . But rooms so small and packed with people that there is no space to move. There was plenty of food but bread i had tasted mouldy . So put me off food. They don't have lunch or dinner service , but they have restaurant 5 min away and they offer 10% off voucher on reception. We didn't go because food choice wast for us .We had terrible view of someone’s back yard. We had room service twice out of 4 nights stay . Cleaning lady was very nice and smiley , on reception only woman would smile when communicate, others would not even look at you (i guess its typical Italian attitude ) Train station 2 min away , same as bus station and water transport . 25 min walk to Saint Marks Basilica .

  Avoid this hotel at all cost, worst I’ve stayed in by far would have a better night sleeping outside on the streets, place is full of bed bugs I’ve been bitten head to toe. Rooms are awful and the breakfast is pathetic won’t be returning hotel of nightmares!!

  What a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location overlooking the Grand Canal and right opposite the train station.The staff are all so welcoming and friendly and polite.A special thank you to Mariah who really helped us out and looked after us.

  Basic hotel but location is great,and clean rooms

  I was nervous because of the reviews, but booked as hotel next to bus station so location. We were given keys to hotel Walter, we did love our room, great view and space but bathroom smelt bad and no hot water so staff moved us to hotel canal, again a lovely view over the canal and was perfect for our stay
