  No windows. Bathroom window looks at industrial fume disposals from kitchen.Not the valie for the money.

  Great hotel at San Zaccaria station (very convenient from airport, blue Alilaguna line), one minute walk from San Marco. The room was fine, the breakfast also but above all, two amazing guys at the reception, Max and Paolo. Thank you for everything.

  Great Value if Location and Affordability are Key Values

  The hotel is located in the Hotel Danieli area — about a block or two from Riva degli Schiavoni and less than a five minute walk from the Alilaguna ferry that goes to Marco Polo international airport. What a blessing since I had to take the 4:55 AM ferry to meet three-hour international flight check-in requirements! The hotel where I stayed a previous night, about a block away, was double the price. Other pluses were a fairly modern bathroom that was ultra clean, and an extremely pleasant front desk manager who I spoke with at length about Venice (in Italian). Nothing in life is perfect. Yes, the hallways could have used a fresh coat of paint. Yes, being on a lively, narrow street, the banter of students was audible on the second floor. And when we opened the window as it was warm in late October, there was no screen, and a bug slipped into the room. I am uncertain whether there was air conditioning, and I didn’t ask. Finally, I opted out of breakfast, and don’t think I would order it if I return, from what I saw. If going to Venice, I would most likely return to this hotel.

  Incredibly dirty and poorly maintained apartment

  The staircase was filthy, a real dumping ground, and the whole building had a terrible odor, which didn’t change for the entire three days of our stay. Once we entered the apartment, the space itself was comfortable. Now, let’s get to the serious issues.The room is in desperate need of maintenance and a thorough repaint. The walls were filthy and stained, possibly from dead mosquitoes left since summer – we stayed at the end of November. As for cleanliness, you simply can't walk barefoot; it's that dirty. The sofa in the living area was broken, covered with stains that seem impossible to remove, as I also read in reviews from past months. We even found a sock, likely left behind by a previous guest, maybe from quite a while ago.The main issue for a traveler, aside from cleanliness, is sleep quality, and here it's a big zero. The beds should be thrown away, along with the mattresses, which are around 9-10 cm thick. It was impossible to get any rest, and every morning we woke up feeling stiff and sore – no exaggeration. The blankets provided were shocking. I haven't seen such blankets in many years, and they had a terrible smell. I honestly suggest burning them instead of offering them to guests.I didn’t go to the reception to complain because the issues with the room were so extensive that they obviously couldn’t be fixed immediately. The only reason I would have gone was to ask for a refund and stay elsewhere, but that’s not the point when you go on vacation. You go on vacation to have a good time.If the owner wishes, they could easily upgrade the place in about ten days by getting rid of the furniture and linens, maintaining the staircase, and renovating the apartment. The location is fantastic, but it was far from enough to leave us with a good impression of our stay, which was the worst I've experienced.

  We stayed at the Commercio and Pellegrino for three nights . although the location was great the hotel came with some disappointments as well . When we first arrived we noticed the room was really hot and the aircon wasn’t working and there was no intention on getting it fixed either . We opened the window to atleast have some fresh air but all you could smell was cigarette smoke from people downstairs outside . I was also covered in bed bites from here as well so if you’re thinking of staying here maybe think twice as the hygiene isn’t up to the greatest standards .
