  The room was very small, but that's not my main concern. The real issue is that the hotel has bed bugs. During my stay I noticed a rash on my body but didn't think much of it at the time.Weeks later, back in my home city, I discovered my apartment was infested. Bed bugs can survive for weeks and travel in luggage — that's exactly what happened. I've had to hire a professional exterminator, discard belongings, and spend days dealing with the consequences.This hotel needs a serious deep cleaning and pest control treatment. I would not recommend staying here until this issue is properly addressed. Hotel Da Bruno, Altro at Hotel da Bruno, responded to this review We firmly reject this review and the very serious allegations made by the guest.In our opinion, this review contains defamatory statements, as it reports a serious factual allegation that is not supported by any evidence. The guest never reported any problem during the stay, although our reception is open 24 hours a day and our staff is always available to assist immediately. No photos, medical reports, written communications, or any other proof were ever provided.Furthermore, the complaint was raised only more than one month after departure. Based on the guest’s own public review history, she appears to have stayed in other accommodation facilities in different European countries, including Spain and Greece, during the same period. Bed bugs can unfortunately be encountered in many different places and may travel in luggage. For this reason, there is no objective basis to link the alleged issue specifically to our hotel, especially as no evidence of any infestation was found in the room during or after her stay.After the guest’s departure, the room was checked and no evidence of bed bugs, fleas, or any other infestation was found. Several guests stayed in the same room before and after her stay, and none of them reported any similar problem.We take every report concerning cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort extremely seriously. Cleanliness and care of our rooms are a priority for us, and we continue to monitor the property carefully in order to guarantee our guests a safe and comfortable stay.For these reasons, we consider this review unfounded, not representative of the actual situation, and highly damaging to our reputation. We will ask the platform to verify and remove it, as it contains an objectively serious allegation, potentially damaging to the reputation of our property, and not supported by evidence. We also reserve the right to protect our property and reputation through the appropriate legal channels.

  Great old school hotel in central location

  Was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The pictures of lots of drapes and fabric made me think it was dated, but this was fairly recently renovated, very clean, lots of outlets, with classic old-school charm. Location was very central and easy access to St Mark's square and train station via vaporetto. The breakfast buffet was a nice spread, mostly continental with some eggs and cold cuts too. Bonus is a popular gelato place next door. We were two flights up (no elevator) - they took up our bags without being asked. Toiletries are limited to a shampoo and shower gel combo. Great stay overall and would come back again.

  Super easy check-in. They walked us to our apartment which was a short walk away. Huge apartment! The location is perfect for anything you want to do in Venice. Near water taxi, restaurants and sites. They took care of scheduling a gondola ride.I would definitely stay here again. We had a party of 5 so that’s why we needed an apartment.

  The hotel location is very good. The stuffs were very nice and friendly. The place they gave us was very clean and the breakfast was great and the workers were very friendly.
