  Fabulous little gem of a hotel, will definitely come back on my next short-time visit to Lido. Kettle and mini-fridge in the room is a huge plus, and it was very quiet to sleep in despite central location right across the street from the main road. Plus the view (our room was 201)can't be beaten , especially for this budget-price range. Highly recommended. Grazie mille.

  2nd trip to Venice, first time staying on the Lido, and I strongly recommend it. What a hidden gem! The hotel itself is very easy to get to with waterbus station opposite. The buses run regularly and takes about 15 minutes to get into the heart of Venice. The staff were friendly and room clean and comfortable with a brilliant view including mountains on a clear day (from 2nd floor room). The Lido has a beach and lots of good restaurants and cafe bars, shops and a supermarket. It's a nice relaxed place to return to after a day in the crowds; a lot less busy and nice to stroll around in the evening. The bus does get busy if you're returning at rush hour (5-7pm).

  What a great little place to stay on lido. Just across the road from the vaporetto terminal and handy for all the bars, beach and eateries. We got a great midweek rate.The reception is not staffed 24 hours so make sure you check your instructions about how to check in - which btw is very easy.Breakfast was included and was a lovely addition and can be taken outside if the weather permits.Our room was at the rear of the property and very quiet although the aircon was a little noisy. The bathroom was huge and the room very clean.Had one problem with the safe which was resolved very quickly. The young lady on reception always greeted us with a smile that would light up venice and was very efficient and helpful.Would definitely stay again.

  I spent just one night here with some friends. Rooms are of adequate size, spotless and comfortable, the staff were caring and welcoming, always with a smile on their faces. We were made feel at home.Breakfast is ok.My stay was during the Film Festival when all hotels triple their normal price, so of course my room was way overpriced but in line with standards for that weekend.

  nice clean hotel. When arriving at the hotel don't use a map as this shows a small road which has now been pedestrianised.you get off the ferry just to your left less than 5oyds is the hotel. I tried to find the road and wasted time LOL.As with others I arrived late and had to phone hotel for the code,prson was unable to speak English and spoke very fast .as I have some knowledge of Italian the problem was solved.well located 10min slow walk to beach, both private and public ,directly in front of ferry and bus stops for getting to other islands and beaches on the lido.with the cost of getting to the other islands at approx. 20€ return what with the time it takes,if you are a couple,possible consider hotels on main island.Althuogh august the lido had a calm matmosphere MareaHotels, Responsabile reception at Hotel Giardinetto, responded to this review Thanks for your visit!!Best regardsAlessio
