  Hotel Messner 3 — The Worst Hotel Stay Ever! They Should Rename It “Hotel Messy-ner!”Hotel Messner 3 was, without a doubt, one of the worst places I have ever stayed. The only positive thing I can say is that the receptionist was professional. Unfortunately, the condition of the room (room 24) we were assigned was absolutely unacceptable and, in my opinion, unlivable.The walls and ceilings were stained and some walls were ripped exposing the insulation, and the room had a horrible smell of mold, dust, and general filth. It was so disgusting that I could barely stand being inside. To make matters worse, the shower drain did not work properly. Water accumulated while we showered, leaving us standing in dirty, contaminated-looking water with visible particles of dirt floating around.I was unable to sleep the entire night because of the unbearable smell and the disgusting condition of the room. All I could think about was leaving as soon as possible and finding another place to stay.The hallways were also dirty and smelled terrible. I honestly cannot understand how a property in this condition is allowed to operate in Venice, and I question whether the cleanliness and hygiene standards are being properly maintained.A professional receptionist cannot make up for such unacceptable accommodation conditions. Cleanliness, proper drainage, and a room that does not smell of mold are basic expectations—not luxuries.My advice to anyone considering Hotel Messner 3: Think twice before booking. Based on my experience, I would never stay here again. What should have been a pleasant stay in beautiful Venice turned into a miserable and unforgettable experience for all the wrong reasons.

  NEVER NEVER NEVERYou are booking one room, but than while checking-in your room is in another building, very dirty, with A LOT of dust, COCKROACHES!!!!

  WORST PLACE EVER! DONT GO ! It was dirty, mouldy, holes in the wall, broken shower, broken aircon and horrible costumer service!

  Barely a one-star hotel, in need of a complete makeover & a new manager who has some people skills!!

  If I could give a zero rating, I would. The most disgusting hotel with an equally disgusting manager. Their website is completely misleading as to their amenities & services offered. Pictures of their rooms on their website is so far from the truth. Rooms are dingy, dark, small & extremely old. Hotel is in need of a complete makeover. They offer in their rooms a safe & coffee machine. No such thing. No amenities like tissues. No concierge service whatsoever! Rooms are on the first floor (no lift) & when we asked for someone to take our suitcases upstairs, we were told to do it ourselves by the hotel manager. He said he couldn't do it because he was sick....he then proceeded to leave the hotel & left us standing there with our luggage! On other occasions when we asked him where the safe in our room was, he made out like he couldn't speak English & would turn his back on us & pretend to be busy at his computer. He was like Basil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers, except he wasn't funny. He should be sacked immediately. His male offsider was just as incompetent. He didn't speak a word of English although their website says they speak 4 languages. He could have been Manual from Fawlty Towers!! Website shows a gym, no such thing. The only redeeming feature was the lovely lady who worked part time at the front desk, the restaurant & the position, but there are much nicer hotels in Venice. Don't be fooled by Hotel Messner Palace as it is barely a 1-star hotel, who blatantly lie on their website about their amenities & show misleading room photos that are nothing like their real rooms. Please stay elsewhere.

  What a dump!!

  Absolute dump. Room was down the street from the hotel. No tv, internet, a/c. Mold everywhere, ripped window screens. Dirty. No closet. We reserved twin beds and winded up with a king size bed and a sofa bed. The mattresses were no thicker than what's on a rollaway bed. When asked about tv/internet clerk said tech would be in the next day. He said that to keep us off his back. Staff not very friendly. Lied about everything. You need to be in the hotel to get internet. Website is very deceptive. Nothing in it is true. The only good thing was the location. While there, many people walked out and wanted a refund. What a disgrace.
