  Beautiful property….professional, caring staff, particularly Filipe and his team at front desk. Loss of five star rating was due to size and design of bathroom and breakfast room protocols. Perhaps in the interest of “classiness”, many of breakfast offerings were served rather than just picked up from the buffet….meaning if one wanted something as minor as a pat of butter, it involved asking for it rather than merely picking one (or two) up. During our three night stay, we had to wait for the arrival of coffee, sometimes for as long as ten minutes, rather than simply being able to pour one’s own cup. Most off-putting was the surcharge for omlettes and fresh squeezed orange juice and many other items which one expects at the breakfast buffet of a five star property. In summary, the place and grounds were unquestionably five star but annoying breakfast procedures cost them that fifth star.

  This was by far the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in! Staff was above and beyond friendly and welcoming. We sadly only stayed one night before a cruise and it was the nicest night ever ! Thank you everyone ! We even were upgraded to the presidential suite which was INSANE. Thank you!

  An absolutely fantastic hotel. We stayed here in September 2026 to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was incredible. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything and really close to the water transportation. Such a charming place with this amazing courtyard. The rooms felt genuine and luxurious. And you notice the little things, like the scent when you walk in, that tells you they really care about details. The breakfast was excellent too. But the best was the staff. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived, always smiling and genuinely friendly in the lobby. And what the receptionist did for my wife's birthday was something special. She really went out of her way to arrange flowers and a cake as a surprise at breakfast, you could tell she really cared. I've never experienced such genuine engagement at a hotel before. We'll definitely be back!

  And along came Johnny.....at the Nani Palace

  We recently spent two nights at the Nani Mocenigo Palace during a stretch when Venice felt approximately three degrees cooler than the surface of the sun. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. and were promised our room by 2:00. At 2:30, we got the “good news/bad news”: our room was ready, but our friends’ room wasn’t. Unfortunately, our “ready” room came with one small feature missing—air conditioning.We were assured it was an “easy fix,” so off we went to enjoy Venice. We returned to a room that could best be described as a beautifully decorated sauna. Then came the news: it was a holiday, a part had to be ordered, there were no other rooms—and not even a fan. Somehow, we survived the night.And then came Johnny. At breakfast the next morning, he approached us and said, essentially, “I know who you are, I know about your room, and I’m fixing this.” He promised us a cool new room, recommended a terrific lunch at Trattoria alla Madonna near the Rialto Bridge, and by the time we returned, he personally showed us to a lovely—and gloriously air-conditioned—room.What a difference one great employee can make.Nani Palace, you have a prince in Johnny. He completely changed our experience, and we left Venice with a new friend—and a renewed appreciation for air conditioning.

  Simply stunning

  I visited with my mother earlier this year and we had a fantastic stay from start to finish - we would highly recommend this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We got there a little early, so they invited us to relax in the beautiful garden with a glass of Prosecco and some delicious welcome nibbles while our room was being prepared. The hotel was immaculate throughout and smelt absolutely divine every time you walked through the doors. Our room was beautiful, with a spacious bathroom, and when we needed a little help getting the air conditioning working, the team were more than happy to assist.Breakfast was another highlight, with a wonderful buffet as well as a selection of freshly cooked dishes available to order. Every member of staff made us feel so well looked after, and it really made our stay special. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again – we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Venice!The hotel is also situated in a perfect location, away from the crowds but close enough to easily walk to all the attractions.
