    Murano is an excellent destination alternative to downtown Venice. Hotel Hotel shuttle to/from airport, and a water taxi terminal (Murano Museo) literally 50 feet away was very convenient. Hotel staff and facility were excellent. The morning buffet was good.

    We had a wonderful time. I was traveling with my three kids, ages 8-12, and we are strict on routines and sleep time. As such, we value quiet and space, and this hotel had both. The staff was very patient, important because of the kids but also because I had a zillion questions on traveling and getting around. The duplex was perfect for us because there was plenty of space. I also need to take a moment to comment on the TREMENDOUS breakfast - we are picky and yet even we were floored. Thank you for everything, we will return soon!     Excellence at Hyatt Centric Murano

    We stayed here as a family of four and honestly thought it was a great choice.The biggest selling point for us was the location. Murano is much quieter than the busiest parts of Venice, but you’re still incredibly connected to everything. The vaporetto stop is literally right in front of the hotel (see picture), which made getting around so easy. After a long day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to step off the boat and basically be back at the hotel.One of my favorite things about the property was the outdoor canal-side bar. In the mornings, we’d sit outside with cappuccinos and watch the boats go by, and in the evenings it was the perfect place for a spritz and some cicchetti. There’s also another outdoor patio area that we found ourselves using a lot just to relax and unwind.Our room was set up perfectly for a family. We had a loft-style room with a king bed upstairs and two sofa beds downstairs for our daughters. Everyone had their own space, and it worked much better than trying to squeeze four people into a traditional hotel room.My only small complaint is that upstairs there really isn’t anywhere to put your stuff besides on top of the nightstands. No dresser, drawers, or shelves. We ended up keeping most of our clothes and belongings downstairs, which wasn’t a huge deal, but it would have been nice to have a little more storage upstairs.The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the hotel was always clean and well maintained. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They even left personal notes and a surprise in our room when I shared why we were coming to Venice. We ate dinner at the hotel one evening. It was good and convenient, though we thought the prices were a little higher than some of the local restaurants nearby. Still, it was nice to have that option available.We didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on that.Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would absolutely stay again. If you’re looking for a quieter place to stay in Venice with super easy transportation and a room setup that works well for families, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.     Two night stay at the Hyatt centric murano

    This hotel has so much potential, however there are some issues that are hard to overlook. My wife and I chose this hotel for the last two nights of our Venice /Greece vacation. We chose this hotel as a hub to wind down after a 7 day cruise and to visit murano and Burano. We did stay two days at a premium hotel in San Marco prior to our cruise. Our stay was booked on points, which is a great value. This hotel is perfect for the budget traveler or family that is looking to save some cash. Anyone looking to enjoy the main attractions of Venice should be aware that it is about 15-20mins both ways by the vaporetto(water bus). Checking in was simple and straightforward. We were able to leave our luggages with the front desk while we went to explore the island as our room wasn’t ready. Upon returning and walking to our room, there was a really foul smell permeating the hallway. The room was spacious and clean, however the ac does not work. After reading several reviews I realized that these two problems aren’t new. My wife and I woke up at about 1am after feeling as though we were suffocating due to the lack of airflow in the room. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS!!! Especially if you are visiting in the summer. We immediately called the front desk to notify them and was told they were trying something new. WHAT?!!!!Are you kidding me. We asked for a fan and one was provided and did help a bit. I wasn’t expecting a five star hotel but the smell and the lack of airflow is just unacceptable. There have been plenty of complaints about this issue and there seems to be nothing done to fix it. Also, the hotel does offer an airport shuttle but for a fee and not before 9am. Our flight was much earlier so asked the person at the front desk to book my wife and I a water taxi. I was quoted 160 euros. Ridiculous, we payed 150 from the airport to our first hotel which is the average price for a regular water taxi to Venice city center. Murano I much closer to the airport. I was able to book a water taxi on my own from the airport website for 115 euros.( Venezia turrismo). Upon checking out I simply asked the guy at the front desk which dock does the water taxi usually arrive and he responded he didn’t know because they didn’t book it. That answer was especially disappointing because it was so unexpected. There are only two or three docks near the hotel. The main dock that the water bus uses and located directly in front of the hotel and two wooden ones a bit further away. If your hotel offer a shuttle you should have an idea where they usually pick up or drop off. His answer was obviously sarcastic and rude. Wood I stay here again? Unfortunately no. My advice to anyone visiting Venice for the first time and can afford to stay near the San Marco area, especially on the Grand Canal, do it you won’t regret it. Our stay the first two day compared two to our stay at the Hyatt centric Murano was night and day….and in this case we got what we paid for.

    An affordable yet elevated stay away from the hustle and bustle of Venice itself.

    A very convenient location for an off Venice island stay. The Vaporetto stop steps outside of the hotel has you in Venice within 30 minutes. Staying here also makes for an easy trip to Burano Island. Breakfast each morning was enjoyable and our room was clean and quiet. You might pass on using a Suite Upgrade award on your stay here unless you really need the extra space. The standard suite is in need of an upgrade. Daily housekeeping kept our space clean and comfortable. The staff were all kind and helpful.
