  Lovely hotel, perfect location, great price.

  Absolutely loved this hotel. From the moment I arrived the staff were very helpful and showed me to a beautiful room. The location is brilliant as it's on the opposite side of the Grand Canal but so close to the piazza San Marco, Doges Palace and the sights of Venice. You just hop on a the water bus, which under 5mins walk from the hotel and your 2 stops away.The room was lovely, and large for a solo traveller with a gorgeous bathroom. Breakfast at the hotel was super, with a good range to pick from. Being diabetic I tend to steal clear from the sweet treats the Italians love, but they also had very good scraped eggs, meats, cheese and even smoked salmonI will definitely book again when I go back to Venice.

  Tiny yet modern room on a nice canal, good option in Dorsoduro.

  A cute and modern hotel right on the canal in Dorsoduro. We arrived late at around 10:30pm on a weeknight. We were assigned to a top floor room (307 I believe, on the the corner). Because we were starving, we dropped off our luggage into the room and went immediately to a nearby restaurant. Upon our return we noticed there was a big mosquito in the room (we killed it) and the air conditioner was not working. We hadn’t unpacked yet so I went down to reception. Night manager told us that the AC was being fixed but when, he didn’t know. As it was very humid with temperatues of 87 degrees predicted for the next 3 days, we opted to move to another room with AC. The top floor room was nice, had a nice view no AC was not going to work for us. We were moved to room 10 on the ground floor where the AC was fortunately working. Room 10 itself was super tiny. The bed was very comfortable, the shower super duper tiny. I wish we had a nicer room but having AC was definitely a nice thing to have at the end of a sweaty. long day. Barely any room to move but as we weren’t there all day, we made the best of it.We loved the breakfast every morning in their breakfast room. Breakfast team and service was cheerful and good selection and variety over the three days we were there. eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurts, sweet breads, regular breads. Coffees, juices.Service and reception team overall was great! Shoutout to Elisa from front desk who was amazing. We also loved their thoughtfully designed common areas: tables alongside the canal for a sunset drink from their bar, a nice lobby to work, a comfortable lobby/reception, a business office.If you stay here and can ask for a larger room, not standard room, I think it would be amazing. Would definitely recommend and would love to return. Thank you IH Venezia Palace for making our visit so nice and comfortable.

  Not worth the price, dishonest owners

  I stayed here for the beginning of the Venice Biennale. We booked 3 nights in a “superior” room because we wanted to have the best experience since it was a once in a lifetime visit to Venice. Our room wasn’t the one we booked and upon arriving the AC wasn’t functioning which we needed since there were so many mosquitos. They moved us to a garden level that felt like a dingy smelly basement that stunk. There were ants everywhere in the room so we stayed the night and decided to leave the next morning. The concierge refused to give us a refund for the remaining nights so we lost out on $$$. Can’t in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. The photos don’t match the place at all and the owners are shady.

  Disgusting Nightmare of a hotel! 🤢

  Hotel is a Scam!!! They post photos of rooms on their website that are fake! Don’t expect the room you receive to match the photos of your booking. The hotel is decrepit, stinks of mold and sewage, and is infested with bugs. The entire place was full of mosquitoes, drain flies, and the floor of our room was covered in ants. They offer air conditioning as an amenity- yet when we arrived the air conditioner did not work at all. The concierge kept stalling and took a long time to come up with a solution to put us in a different room with a working a/c. The room ended being a disgusting basement even though I paid for a higher room with balcony windows. Neither room matched the photos on our booking. We checked out early and they refused to refund me for the nights that we cancelled due to all of the problems at the hotel. They stole about $800 from me. Absolute scoundrels! The place is a sham, ugly, stinky dump. Do yourself a favor and book a room in San Marco for half the price and way better condition.

  Great hotel in a nice location

  What an excellent hotel, the staff make you feel extremely welcome. The room was quite small and a bit too warm for our liking but was the only negative. Nice breakfast and the hotels looks and smells beautifully clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We liked the location too, quite close to the Academia bridge and with some nice restaurants nearby. It's in a quiet area and felt very safe at night but at the same time not far from some of the main attractions such as the Rialto bridge and St. Marks Square
