Difficult to find a better hotel at the very core of Venice for this price

    rating28 May 2026

Hard to find a better hotel in the heart of Venice for this price. I can imagine that very expensive, many‑star hotels might be better, but this one offers an excellent location, with very easy access from the Rialto vaporetto stop. There are stairs, of course — it’s an old building — but the attendant, whose name I don’t know how to spell, was extremely kind and attentive, doing her best to help us, as we are elderly.

    A room in the heart

    rating25 Apr 2025

San Marco’s square is 5 mins from the door. Rialto even less, 2 mins walking out of the hotel on the left. We choose it due the position and we can say we feel is right. A great price quality rate and small but well cleaned rooms. If you want a short stay in the heart of this stunning and unique piece of history and art that’s Venice, fully suggested. A mention to the staff from reception to cleaners , thank you!A duly note: please improve wi fi environment cause in the rooms is unstable

    Cozy rooms and perfect location

    rating30 Aug 2023

Very good and comfortable rooms with perfect location, right in the middle of Venice with less than 5 mins walk to Rialto bridge and St. Marco’s square. Lot of breakfast options nearby and good connectivity to train station via boat service.

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location.

    rating02 Jul 2023

This is a boutique hotel a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge in a very central location. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. The hotel is on 5 floors with no lift and a winding staircase, so is unlikely to be suitable for someone with limited mobility. It dates from the 1400s and is full of classic features. Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable with a good shower, fast internet and tea and coffee facilities. Michael, the manager was extremely helpful and friendly from my initial booking via email and when we were staying. He booked an excellent restaurant for us one night and suggested some good places to visit. An excellent host.We had no problem accessing the hotel using the provided access code and instructions. Thoroughly recommended.

    Worst experience ever

    rating25 Oct 2022

We even lost the money we paid for two days and went to another hotel. We arrived at 3:18 Pm due to a train delay. We received no instructions with code to get in. We had toUse the help of the people of the caféNearby. First someone said they would be there right away. Then nothing happened. We stood in the street with our luggage like beggars. Finally an ill tempered lady answered the bell but did not tell us to look for an envelope with the keys. We found ourselves locked inside. After much search we found a back door to get out. Again the lady of the cafe called the owner and explained to us about the envelope. Then we realized we were on the last floor with no one to help with the luggage. I believe the people who were so happy in the past might have dealt with a different person.
