Location

This upmarket hotel is situated in Venedig Mestre beside Salso Canal where the bridge to the lagoon begins. A train station lies close by and Marco Polo airport is just 4 km away.

    Airconditioned hotel close to Venedig

    From the hotel you can take the Tram 5 minutes away to Venedig. Tickets can be bought at a Tabac 2-300 meters away. Parking can be done on the street.The hotel is airconditioned and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is sufficient with a range og choices. Coffee can be ordered from the waiters.The room was fine, with A/C. The bathroom is fine as well but shampoo and shower gel is only available from small plastic bags which is not very handy. It works but means that a lot of spare shampoo/shower gel is thrown out.

    No A/C even though it’s advertised, rooms are boiling hot even though it was only 16 degrees outside, practically impossible to sleep due to pillow being like rocks and being the noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, including through the night, due to the very aesthetically pleasing exposed wooden ceilings but therefore no sound proofing from the floors above, the walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the shower in all directions, guest rooms have been updated but lobby, restaurant and bar are still stuck in the 70’s/80’s. Fridge doesn’t stay powered when you leave the room so is pretty much pointless nor do any of the other sockets so you can’t charge devices/back up batteries etc.WiFi, whilst free, is useless and the TV has just one English channel (US News) so no twilight TV just before bed unless you’re fluent in ItalianAbsolutely nothing in the area of the hotel but on a positive note the public transport is great, there’s a tram stop (Sansovino) about 5 minute walk away, tickets bought on WhatsApp after scanning a QR code or from the adjacent Tobacconist for €1.50 for 75 mins of travel which is more than enough to get you into Venice City which is only 10-15 mins away

    Terrible experience and very disappointing. The room is big and the bed is ok, but the bathroom and old and uncomfortable. The breakfast is very limited and you have to sit in communitarian tables, because there are no tables for everyone. The staff lady in the breakfast was very rude with us. I definitely do not recommend this place.

    Had a lovely stay at this hotel, we stayed for 3 night and had bed and breakfast. We got to the hotel around 10:30am and they said to wait half hour. We knew we were earlier and they let us leave our luggage there whilst we went out. When we came back the room was ready and we headed upstairs! The staff at the front desk were lovely especially the lady with the dark hair and glasses. She helped me and my friend a lot when we needed things and very happy to spark a conversation! Think we were the only English people there but the staff were very welcoming and made us feel like we could ask for anything. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast too.Was very easy to get to Venice with the bus stop just outside the hotel and the bus was only €1.50! Perfect hotel for a short break to Italy!

    Definitely not a 4 star hotel. I need to warn people, I don't know weather I could give any stars at all. Room was ok, lots of work needs doing, unfinished walls, no kettle , tea or coffee, no water either. Beds were uncomfortable. Sadly I didn't red reviews before I booked. Also my friend lost a passport in room, it disappeared from room, can I just say how unhelpful , without any motions was the guy on 14 th of may morning, sadly I can not remember his name. All he said is - ok. No help or advice of what to do , or help going through security to see who was cleaning room or anything. There was no help! He didn't even look sorry. Can I just give shout out to breakfast ladies, lovely, welcoming, thank you. This hotel definitely needs so much improvement and I hope you take this comment on.
