Okay but bring ear plugs to help sleep

We got allocated this hotel as part of a cheap and cheerful package deal so as long as clean and comfy bed we were happy to manage our expectations.The good bits. The room whilst basic is clean, beds were comfy and the bathroom likewise no issues with an easy to use shower etc. There is a machine downstairs where you can get hot water and hot milk etc evenings etc so just bring your own tea bags, hot chocolate etc and a mug ( but they do have paper cups ) It’s well located near bus stops for a straightforward trip into Venice. As others mentioned there is a bar adjacent and opposite where you can get drinks / snacks. A nearby spa and coffee shops very reasonably priced if breakfast like ours isn’t included. The not so good bits. The rooms ; I think they will be the triple ones at the front are noisy. We were woken the first night by youngsters doing their thing , then quite heavy constriction work ( out of the hotels control ) likewise the very early bin men. Weirdly we were woken up by the weirdest buzzing noise which we eventually worked out was because my friend put the phone back ON the receiver. If left off the noise stopped. The noise from next door rooms flushing toilets is quite loud.So second day we bought some ear plugs. Job done and sleep had for us.

The only good thing about this hotel - the friendly staff. Rooms are dated, our room was cramped for a family of 4, bathrooms dated. We found it very noisy outside through the night with construction work and early morning street cleaning from 6am, woken by bin men at 4.30am. It’s in a good location for restaurants, bus service and train station if you want to visit Venice

I stayed here with my daughter's and granddaughter for 4 nights.Our room was a quadruple, with 2 double beds, and while it was quite small, we still found it adequate for our stay, the cleaners came in and cleaned and left fresh towels every day, the guys on reception were efficient, but could have been a little friendlier, but that was our only gripe.The location is fantastic, we caught the tram, which was a ten minute walk away, into Venice and cost us €3 return each, it took 15/20 minutes and was a lovely journey.Mestre itself is really rather lovely, there were shops and cafes/restaurants all within a ten minute walk from the hotel, and a lovely market on a Wednesday and Friday, there is also a big shopping centre.We would definitely stay here again.

A sorely average hotel for a sorely average town. Don’t expect much space or originality in the decor. Don’t expect wonders at breakfast – on the contrary, expect radioactively sweet juice, very sweet white bread and poorly cooked scrambled egg. The location is great but otherwise there ain’t much to write home about.
