    Writing this review a few months after our stay, but I did want to share what a joy this hotel was. The property is actually on a separate island, Lido, which can be a 20-30 minute water taxi ride from the main Venice train station. Don't let that put you off - the hotel's instructions on which water taxi(s) to take once you walk out the train station doors are point on, and then it's a flat, short walk from the drop off to the hotel. We stayed during the "shoulder season" when the tourist rush was starting to wind down. The first morning of our stay there was a buffet breakfast, but due to the small number of guests, the following days included a made to order meal! That level of personalized service was a typical example of the friendly, attentive care we received during this stay.I am not a huge fan of crowds, so after spending the better part of each day in Venice (which is lovely, and deserves visiting) it was always a joy to return to Lido and to the hotel. There are a few very nice, more intimate restaurants on Lido, and the island certainly lends itself to post-breakfast casual walks before heading over to explore Venice. If you don't want to spend your entire Venice experience with the crowds that Venice itself attracts, this hotel is highly recommended.

    Fabulous hotel in Lido

    We stayed for three nights towards the end of June and had a fabulous experience. The location of New Reiter is fabulous - away from the hustle and bustle from Venice, but only a 10 minute waterbus ride across. There are plenty of bars and restaurants on the same road as the hotel, so we didn’t even need to go far! Short walk to the beach too. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly (reception, bar and cleaners). The breakfast is from 7am - 10am which was great, and lots of choice too. The room was very clean and very spacious. The shower was incredible. The only downside is that our room was quite loud. We were on the first floor overlooking the street and could hear loud music until early hours of the morning, and then would hear the elevator outside of our room in the morning. However, for the price - it’s a great hotel and we would definitely come back / recommend!

    Me and my husband recently stayed at the New Reiter hotel whilst on holiday for my 30th birthday and, the experience was outstanding! The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was incredible if a little pricey. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Lido/Venice and, would definitely stay here again!

    Me and my friend happened to arrive in Venice/Lido on the very day of the Italian celebration day of Liberation from Fascism. And the first ever day of tourist fee for day visitors, of which you could be pardoned if staying overnight in a registered hotel. The young lady at the reception counter was really trying to help us despite the terribly complicated app with which you were supposed to get rid of the fee. I think it took us (all three) at least 15-20 minutes, trying to figure out how it works...Well, anyways, it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is situated at one of the main streets in Lido; lots of restaurants nearby, and only a five minute walk to Vaporetto station. Decent hotel restaurant as well. Could certainly go again. And it was a funny coincidence, meeting the reception lady by St. Marco Square café!

    Had a brilliant stay at the New Reiter Hotel. It is perfectly located.. close to beach and the vaporretto stop. The staff were so helpful and the food is delicious. Lovely comfortable rooms... a special mention for Junior who really helped us out on the last day!
