Canal view hotel close to start of Grand Canal.

Staff well organised and courteous at reception. Hotel position close to railway, taxi drop off and water taxis. Canal view is amazing. Antique fittings was one of the highlights we liked. As an old town house there were several hidden features worth seeking out. Courtyards internal and external plus balcony views which were exceptional. Many restaurants nearby also with canal views. We did not eat at the bar or restaurant, so cannot comment only to say it looks good. Shori, Aurora, Magda, and every one else at the NH Venezia Santa Lucia Hotel made our 50th Anniversary celebration spectacular as guests at their hotel. They went over and above with so many kind gestures and we can never thank them enough for making us feel so special and celebrated. I highly recommend this hotel for all of this and its amazing location in Venice. We were able to walk to this hotel from the train station which was conveniently located as well as many restaurants and great shopping. Look no further and just make your reservations! Lovely modern room, though slightly on the small side! The location is great for the train station, and it's handy that you can reach the airport by car taxi rather than water taxi. It's about a 30 minute walk to San Marco, though, which does raise the question of value for money.
