We stayed here for 1 night after flying in, we were heading to the Dolomites in the morning and wanted something close to the train station. Knew it wasn’t going to be amazing but cleanliness was not ideal. Lots of dead mosquitoes with blood stains in room and bathroom. Shower tiles were broken and overall not the cleanest bathroom but not terrible. The bed however, was awful. So uncomfortable, mattresses were thin and springy. Pillows were thin, linens were harsh.

Dreadful experience, I had a room that shared a wall with the kitchen, from 5.30am till 7.30am there was constant banging of plates, cups and metallic dishes as the staff cooked and set up for breakfast. The toilet cistern ran all night, I couldn't stop it as the control was behind a metal plate on the walI. I went out to reception to try to get help but wasn't offered any. The shower room was very grubby, cracked tiles and missing grout and the faulty cistern.. Over priced hotel for its quality, it is not a 4 star hotel, it's a basic three star and overpriced for what you get. When I asked to see the manager I was told he comes in only every 2 to 3 weeks.. the lack of management shows.

First impression it looks sumptuous, and on the whole it is, but on closer inspection there are faults and cleaning issues. Our room had no view from the window just a small lightwell. But it was quiet.Some problems we noticed.Toilet and bidet are on quite an angle, so sitting on the loo is uncomfortable. Plus, the pocket door to bathroom was noisy, and the lock fitting was hanging off. Bathroom wall tiles had noticable dirty runs.Every day we were given one teabag for a two person room. And only one coffee sachet of either ordinary or decaf. So you are stuffed if you both want the same drink. Yes I could have asked for more, but at this price range I shouldn't have to.Same with the pillows, only one extra pillow for two people to fight over.Two 'paper cups' in the room, no proper cups/mugs or proper glasses were ever provided. Again for this price point I wouldn't expect paper cups. On the upside... Breakfast was amazing, plentiful, and varied. The staff on duty at breakfast were really good. On the downside... The only failing was the weird toaster that took far too long to toast the 'tiny' pieces of brown bread. Front desk was brilliant and super helpful.

Disappointing. Patchy service, definitely not managed by anyone who truly cares (ditto owners who need to look closely at what they can do better). No bottle of fizz on arrival and no room upgrade - something our booking status gave us but we hadn’t realised until later. Never asked if everything was ok, lack of attentiveness. One exception, a young Italian/moroccan guy, who was excellent. Promote him!Rooms were ok but paper thin walls so noise was intrusive. Food was pretty poor, very little amenity in rooms, felt a bit mean and penny pinching. Didn’t need room serviced, just asked for fresh towels, twice. Ended up having to go to reception in the evening to collect. Other than external elevation aesthetic, location right by canal and good location, it’s average at best. Wouldn’t return.

Not such a good stay with a number of issues. Firstly, the room did not have usbc or usb plug sockets and reception couldn’t provide any. First hotel I’ve stayed in without these sockets. Caused me to have to find an adapter in Venice. Not ideal. You’d think phone charger/plug issues would be a bread and butter issue for a hotel reception to deal with. Secondly, the shower in my room started flooding due to the drain not working. I had to stop my shower after a few minutes and soak up the flood with some towels. Thirdly, had a terrible night sleep, air conditioning was loud and the room was next to the breakfast dining area, so could hear set up and diners in morning. Lastly, upon entering the breakfast area there were no tables set up with knives and forks so had to request these. A waitress bought a menu over to me with a coffee selection and egg selection and hovered at the table for my order. I ordered a coffee and she went off to make it taking the menu with her. I frankly couldn’t be bothered to request the menu back and look through egg selection. I had my sleep disrupted, shower disrupted and breakfast disrupted. The guy at reception was very friendly and the hotel looked nice from outside and the beds were comfortable. But I was glad to leave.
