Just returned from a fabulous stay at.this lovely hotel. From start to finish we have had exceptional.service. The hotel is.located about 5 to 10 minutes from the water taxi to all.the main tourist attractions. The room was.lovely, with fresh towels and.cleaned.every day. You go just go.over the bridge to the square where there are.plenty of restaurants.and shops.to.explore. all.staff.at.the hotel were friendly and.helpful,.Maria, mauro, and I have to say,.Carlo was.exceptional with his friendly and.helpful customer service. He went over and.beyond to help us with whatever we asked off.him. He certainly.is an asset to the hotel. Breakfast was.great too,.continental and.cooked.with.pastries, biscuits, fruit,.and.pancakes. breakfast.staff.were.also very friendly.and.helpful. The hotel.is situated by the canal,.nice and quiet but.still within easy.reach of.all.amenities. we had a.wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel whilst.visiting venice. Thank you so.much for an enjoyable.holiday.😀

    Loved our stay

    rating18 Mar 2026

I echo what the majority of people have said. Location is perfect. Only 10 mins from the bus and train station. Away from busy areas so it was very peaceful. Nearby square has lots of restaurants including greek and indian food. We ate in a different one each night and cheaper than the main tourist spots. There's also an amazing bakery, gelato, pharmacy and supermarket and several bars. Absolutely loved the courtyard entrance to the hotel and the view across the roof tops towards the bell tower. And for any fellow film geeks out there you can spot the hotel in Indiana Jones and the last crusade. The 'library' is St Barnabus Church just a few doors down.

    Terrible customer service

DO NOT RECOMMENDDO NOT book this one. There are plenty of gorgeous hotels in venice at a similar price. We came to this hotel for a 3 night stay in January. When we arrived we were put into the only room that connects directly to the lobby within the area of the lobby's public toilet. It wasn't ideal as it also looked nothing like the photos. but we were not going to complain as it's not our thing. Until, we tried to have a nap after a very very long travel day. We soon realised this room was FAR from sound proof. You could hear every conversation in the lobby, every door that closed, every time the elevator was called and every time the toilet was used. Politely we went to reception and asked if we could move rooms - previous reviews claimed they were very accommodating with this sort of issue. We were told in no uncertain terms there was nothing they could do as they were fully booked and we could come back to reception at 9:30pm and speak to the person then about moving tomorrow which was unlikely as well. We agreed and went back to our room - However, on looking at booking.com every single type of room was available to book for the same night and the other 2 nights. We went back to reception and explained our confusion. To cut a long story short we had a very rude and uncomfortable conversation with the man at the desk who was so unhelpful and confrontational. Along the way we got involved in a 3 way phone conversation where the man asked why we were that bothered when we had only booked a standard room. We explained this was a holiday we still had spent alot of money on and we were the only people paying a standard rate who had been put in a room attached to a toilet. We offered to pay the difference to uprade our room as they were now claiming there was only one superior room left. We weren't allowed to do this. Eventually we said we will have to go and find a different hotel - finally they admitted they were waiting till 9;30PM as that was the cut off for same day bookings. They didn't want us to take another room as there was no housekeeping to turn over our room for tonight so they would potentially loose money on one room for one night!!! No consideration for the paying customer stood infront of them. He eventually agreed to change our room after we said we were leaving the hotel (as we had been up since 3am and there was no chance of sleeping in this room) and stormed in - picked up my coat and shoved it at me. Asked how much of the room we had used, huffed that we had crinkled the sheets but checked we hadn't got INTO the bed. Shoved our half drunk water at us and took our coats of the hangers, pointed at the makeup wipe in the bin whilst gesturing we collect all our stuff. To whoever went into our room after it was most definitely not cleaned. He then stormed off and got us a key for the new room and sent us on our way. WHAT A HORRIBLE START TO THE HOLIDAY. The next day there was a power cut in the area which wasnt their fault. However there was ridiculously loud beeping outside our room and when we went down to the lobby in pitch black. The receptionist was pretending everything was fine and there was no issue. We were provided with no information about where the power cut spanned too and if it's normal or if this was something to worry about. The customer service in this hotel is so shocking.

Not what it looks like in the pictures

    rating05 Dec 2025

Me and my partner stayed here for our anniversary and safe to say it’s not the same as the pictures. I’ll start off with the positives of this hotel which is good location, comfortable bed & the staff are very nice. There wasn’t much of a variety for breakfast but it was still very nice, we always found something to eat in the mornings. The rooms were getting cleaned every day which in my opinion wasn’t needed as we were barely in the room anyway. I do think there should be a do not disturb sign in the room just so you can pop that on the door if you don’t need your room cleaned. It saves the staff cleaning an extra room when it doesn’t need to be done.I do feel like there was a lot more negatives to this hotel which is a shame, as a lot of it can be resolved if staff members took notes of the problems. There was quite a bit of damage in the room such as ripped up carpet by the bathroom and severe marks on the walls. The hair dryer didn’t even work when I tried to use it and the TV had little to none channels. The shower head looked like it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a long time as it was all black. We also thought it was a bit strange that you had to leave your room key at reception every time you went out. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I do feel like the hotel needs a lot of tlc. However that didn’t ruin our time in Venice and we had the best time away. There are lots of bars and restaurants not far from the hotel and the bus station was only a 10 minute walk, that’s how we got to and from the airport.

Just enjoyed a wonderful 4 night stay at this gorgeous hotel. Beautiful room that was very in keeping with the history of the building. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. A great location, too, for getting all over venice to see the sights. Will definitely look to book here again
