Location

Venice's Lido is a 12-km-long island, which divides the Venetian Lagoon from the sea. It connects the San Nicolò and Malamocco ports, and the island is reachable only by boat and ferry-boat. Lido is one of the few Venetian Lagoon islands with roads for vehicles. There is a bus stop just 2 minutes' walk from the beach hotel, and the train station is in the city centre, which is around 4 km away. Marco Polo International Airport is roughly 12 km from the hotel and Treviso Airport about 40 km away.

Facility

The hotel has 31 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park.     Absolutely amazing stay. A great choice at breakfast, superb room with a huge bed. The staff were truly amazing. The beach was great and superb views too. Being on the Lido was better than in the heart of Venice. Transport and travel was great and plenty if local shops and friendly locals too.

    My husband and I spend 3 nights in this hotel. Staff of the hotel is amazing! Starting with Ricardo, very nice and kind young men. Ricardo was most helpful with explaining the places to go out to eat, how to get ferry, bus for transport to Venice from Lido. On our last day, 22nd, almost all transportation companies were on strike. Ricardo made a list how to get back to Train Station in Venice using ferries that were working that day. Also, Ana receptionist and Antonela were very nice and helpful . They made our stay much nicer.

    *Bad smell in their rooms*

    We stayed at Hotel Petit Palais on Lido for 4 nights at the end of March 2025. From the second night onward, there was a very bad and strong smell that filled the bathroom and the room at night and would go away in the morning. Until the third night it was unclear whether the smell would return. We kept the room window open for ventilation, but the cars passing by disturbed our sleep. On the last day, it was horrible because the smell was present even during the day when we checked out.Because their service was good, we had not expected a cold reaction to this unpleasant experience when we shared it at checkout, as if it were normal to have this smell. They said it could happen due to fluctuations in tide levels and apologized. The complaint was not taken seriously, and we were asked why we had not come before. This was very unusual, as we had never experienced anything like this before. We did not expect a 4-star hotel to have this kind of problem.

    Great location away from the crowds of Venice, beautiful beach good enough selection of restaurants in the area. The water bus and local transportation had you in the Venice city centre in less than 30 minutes. Buy a pass for the transportation- well worth it!Full breakfast and friendly staff. The room was nice, we had a side ocean view but did not use our balcony.Our only issue was asking for pods for the Illey coffee machine. We did not need decaf so we returned them and asked for an extra pod. They charged us 2 euros for a pod- which seemed petty. - direct beach access but the hotel only cabanas; we went down a bit and got 2 chairs and an umbrella for 30 euros for the day.The front desk gave us a very helpful map of Venice. Overall we enjoyed the location and hotel.

    A fantastic hotel!The hotel is in a quiet location next to the beach. On entering the hotel we were met with modern and clean decor and the friendliest welcome from the staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean and had all we needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay.The beds are very comfortable, we slept very well both nights. A big thank you to the staff who are at the heart of this hotel. As mentioned before, the welcome was delightful. The reception team told us about the island, transport and recommendations for local restaurants. We were also welcomed with a cold drink (we really appreciated this as it had been a long day of travelling). The breakfast was fantastic, a big range of foods and I really enjoyed trying chestnut honey for the first time, delicious. The team again had clearly worked hard to create such a delicious offering of food.We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
