Great location, tiny bad room

Incredible location but a pretty terrible little room. Old carpet, old bed, tiny little shower, and no temp control. We thought this was the worst of the 4 hotels on our trip around Europe. The location is extremely convenient though and it was not dirty just in desperate need of an update.

Simple accommodation in the perfect location

Stayed at the Ambassador Tre Rose for a short break to celebrate my Birthday and my daughters 18th. The staff were welcoming and helpful and because of the occasion had placed welcome gifts in our rooms which was a really nice touch.The rooms are small, but we’ll furnished, bathrooms are very compact but have everything you need. The only thing missing from the room was a tea/coffee tray, but reception provided a kettle when we asked and with a small supermarket just steps away from the hotel entrance we were able to stick up with what we needed.The bed was firmer than I’d like, but it didn’t stop us sleeping well and the hotels location on a quiet walking street, meant we weren’t disturbed. Situated just a minute or two from St Marks Square, the location could not have been better for exploring Venice, so for simple 3 star accommodation it suited us perfectly.Just to clear up a couple of minor discrepancies in the listed descriptions… the hotel does not have a bar or a restaurant, so breakfast is served in a shared dining room a short walk away. Expect a long queue and at times a lengthy wait for a table, even if you book in advance (there is a capture code in your check in card, which lets you book a time, but this means nothing when you get to the dining room).Once you are seated, you have a small selection of hot (scrambled egg and bacon) and cold (meat, cheese, pastries etc) breakfast items, which at least get you started for the day, but it was the one disappointing thing for me.Overall I thought it was a basic, but well priced hotel and gave us the perfect base for exploring the city.

Beware does not give refunds if you have COVID

We recently booked our holiday to Italy and Croatia, with a planned stop in Venice on the way back staying here. Unfortunately, I got COVID and could not travel, we had to cancel our holiday. The other hotel in Italy and Croatia both fully refunded the booking less a small admin charge and the airline same. The Ambassador refused, basically saying not their problem. We asked to change dates they said no, they then suggested we get someone else to stay. Not very realistic considering we were flying in 1 week. I would not recommend booking this hotel in current climate as if you are unfortunate to get COVID this hotel does not care and you would lose your booking.

The bed was not comfortable! The rooms smells bad! The sink is inside the room! The room itself is very small! The breakfast is on another builing but is nice with different food ! The servise is nice! The location is great!nice stores near the hotel!

We stayed here for a night and found the location to be very convenient. The entrance is not manned at all times and the check in is at a sister hotel 50m awayThe bathrooms are tiny but have hot water and toiletries provided. Overall, a decent place for a quick stay in Venice
