    Excellent location in the heart of Venice. 2 minutes walk to St Mark's Square. Lots of shops and restaurants in street. Supermarket opposite hotel.Friendly, helpful staff. Room was lovely, very clean, air conditioning and good bathroom. Comfy bed and beautiful decor

    A frill-free hotel for your stay in Venice

    We stayed at the hotel for a long weekend in March. Our room was located in a detached block a few yards away from the main hotel. The room (701) was extremely spacious, with two small sofas and a coffee table on the side. The room was cleaned every day by two lovely ladies. The only downside was the smell coming from the bathroom, due to the low tide allowing unpleasant odours through the waste pipe.Breakfast can be improved with little effort by adding lactose-free yogurts and milk. Another point, none of the ingredients were listed. We asked for clarifications, but the waiters could not help (not a language barrier, just a lack of knowledge of their content). Otherwise, the staff was very helpful, cordial and charming.

    went here to celebrate my father in laws 60th birthday and I hope everyone planing there visit understands it’s a load of sh*t and a waste of money, you’ll be welcomed to a room that looks like a DIY shop, because everything is hanging on for dear life, the rooms are full of mosquito and we had members of our family return home ill due to the poor conditions we stayed in, we stayed for a total of 2 nights, the so called breakfast wasn’t great you was crammed with everyone staying in the hotel with some chairs and table that was sat underneath the stairs, felt like I was an Italian Harry Potter, and the staff just didn’t give a single sh*t service was slow they was rude and if you told them about a problem they wouldn’t resolve the problem, the images of the hotel are very misleading, Venice itself is quite a nice city with beautiful sights , the only not beautiful site in Venice is this absolute violation of space called the San Julian Hotel,

    This was a 2 day stay with my family for my 60th birthday after 2 days in Florence and 3 days in rome which where great but this hotel was disgusting in all ways staff on reception not very helpful breakfast dreadful rooms Falling apart in every way Wardrobes put in corners off corridors just on bits of wood. It was absolutely A disgusting hotel,.If you go to Venice, Venice is beautiful but this gives Venice a bad name about name There was insects all over the place. We have been bit to death And needed doctors on our return for steroid cream. . Location is good. Please avoid this hotel. One star is too much 😫 .

    Hotel dirty, furniture and fixtures broken, mosquitos everywhere. No shower door, dripping taps & shower, staff don’t want to know and are rude. Breakfast limited and poor. Only good thing was location, other than that it was terrible
