Not a True 5-Star Experience, Poor Concierge Service

    rating01 Jun 2026

Very disappointing experience for a 5-star hotel, especially during our 30th wedding anniversary stay.Concierge communication was extremely slow and unclear despite multiple advance emails requesting help with anniversary planning. We asked for assistance arranging a gondola, photographer, and dinner, but nothing was properly arranged or communicated. The hotel made no special effort to make our milestone anniversary memorable. The Meet & Greet service was also useless. The person did not come to our train coach, did not help with luggage, and essentially only held a placard with my name. It was not worth the €170 fee.We also had a room maintenance issue with water leakage caused by AC condensation. Additionally, the Grand Canal location creates an expectation of a special canal-view experience, but our room did not match that perception. The only positive part was dinner service at Antinoo’s. The restaurant team was very good and made the evening feel special.Overall, Sina Centurion Palace fell far short of a true 5-star experience, especially for such an important occasion. Luigi Busetto, Guest Services / Front Office at Sina Centurion Palace, responded to this review Dear Virendra,Thank you for sharing your feedback, first and foremost, please accept our warmest congratulations on your 30th wedding anniversary, along with our sincerest apologies that your stay did not live up to this very special occasion. We deeply regret the communication delays with our Concierge, furthermore, about the Meet & Greet service you described, we have already addressed this with our partner provider to ensure it does not happen again.Regarding the room, the fact the hotel is on the Grand Canal does not mean any room have the view on it, it is clearly explained when a reservation is made which room has the Grand Canal view or not.We are glad that the team at Antinoo’s Restaurant provided an excellent dining experience and made your evening special, your compliments will be proudly shared with them.We would love the opportunity to regain your trust, please feel free to contact our Management team directly so we can personally assist you with any future arrangements.Warm regards,Luigi BusettoReception Manager

    Excellent stay in April

    rating12 May 2026

If you get a room with a view you can watch all the boats plough up and down the Grand Canal, it's wonderful. Staying in Venice means you get to see and explore Venice with no crowds in the morning and night. The room we had was excellent, we stayed here before. The hotel is in the best location. It is just a vaporetti stop away from Basilica San Marco. It in a quieter neighborhood of Venice with art stores to explore. It's a beautiful well appointed hotel. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast was included, it can be better. Luigi Busetto, Guest Services / Front Office at Sina Centurion Palace, responded to this review Dear EngYew,mille grazie for your kind review, we’re sure you enjoyed watching Venetian life unfold along the Grand Canal from a prime vantage point such as a balcony with view from our SINA Centurion Palace! This is truly something that can add much to the venetian experience, but is not the only one, as with our staff and service we strive do to even more.We would be honoured should you choose us again in the future. With our warmest regardsLuigi BusettoReception Manager

Elegant hotel with wonderful service and staff but difficult 2-story suites

    rating11 May 2026

This is an elegant, beautiful property with excellent, efficient service and very personable and friendly staff. The spacious 2-story suites with floor-to-ceiling windows have nice amenities and cozy bedding. However, the configuration is a bit difficult to navigate, as the bedroom is on the top floor and the bathroom on the bottom floor. This means several trips down the stairs during the night for most people, and potentially dangerous, especially for those with mobility issues. Luigi Busetto, Guest Services / Front Office at Sina Centurion Palace, responded to this review Dear 766AnnD766,thank you for your kind words, we are glad you found the hotel of your taste, as the style and staff. We are sorry about the issue with the room, that is one of our most appreciated, but of course we can understand what you reported. We hope to have other occasions to welcoming you again in the future. With our warmest regardsLuigi Busetto

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location

    rating05 May 2026

We have spent three wonderful nights at this 5 star hotel. It’s situated on the grand canal with its own jetty for water taxis. We arrived by a pre booked shared water taxi which was excellent value and we felt so special to arrive at the private jetty. The staff were attentive and polite. Our room was serviced twice daily. Breakfast was excellent, again the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food choice was impressive. On checkout we were invited to pay a discretionary service charge of 100 euros for our 3 nights. We had seen complaints about this previously on trip advisor so we did expect it. We opted to pay a slightly smaller amount as we had not used the bar or restaurant and coming from the UK this is not normal to have to pay this. Getting a water taxi back to the airport proved a little challenging so we opted to take a short walk to Zaterrre to pick up the twice hourly Alilaguna airport boat at 36 euros for the two of us. Luigi Busetto, Guest Services / Front Office at Sina Centurion Palace, responded to this review Dear OnAir596785,Thank you for your wonderful review, we are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our Sina Centurion Palace, and we especially appreciate your kind words about our staff’s service and the breakfast.Location, style, service, every aspect is extremely important, and we take pride in ensuring our Guests leave the hotel fully satisfied. Venice is already a marvelous city, and it’s hard to enhance the experience any further, but we do our best to go the extra mile.We would be honoured should you choose us again in the future. With our warmest regardsLuigi BusettoReception Manager

    Another great stay

    rating07 Mar 2026

This was our fifth (or sixth? not quite sure) stay at the Sina Centurion . For us, this is the perfect place to stay in Venice - away from the crowds of San Marco, but in a great central position next to the Salute on the Grand Canal, with views of San Marco and the lagoon. This time we had a lovely room with a terrace, overlooking the dome of a church alongside the hotel. Staff were as friendly and helpful as ever. We will return! Luigi Busetto, Guest Services / Front Office at Sina Centurion Palace, responded to this review Dear Shebbeare,We are honoured that you have chosen us so many times and hope you will continue to do so in the future, as we are constantly striving to improve so that we can offer our guests the best possible experience; our aim is always to ensure you have an unforgettable stay in Venice. We look forward to welcoming you back! With our warmest regards,Luigi BusettoReception Manager
