Disappointing Spa experience

The hotel is amazing! The rooms were beautiful, the hotel restaurant is really good (with the best carbonara ever!), and the staff were super friendly & helpful. The pool area & beach were beautiful, except we would have preferred a pool at the hotel which would have been more private (the shared pool with campers was just too loud & busy for us). What really was very disappointing about our stay was the spa. I had 2 treatments: 1 x full body massage + 1 x pedicure. The spa is stunning but the treatment rooms are not. I have NEVER had a full body massage in a brightly-lit room. I expect a darkened room, with soft music & candles - which i have experienced in many spas around the world. Being semi-naked in a bright room also made me very uncomfortable. The massage was also not the best I've had either. I then had my pedi on another day. The hotel receptionist arranged this with the staff of the spa - on the phone while I was present (as I dont speak Italian & the spa staff don't speak English or German, which i do). I specifically requested a foot massage at the same time, which the hotel receptionist confirmed with the Spa. However, when I went to my appointment (2 days later) I only received the foot pedi. When I asked about the foot massage (using my phone for translation) I was told that it wasn't booked & she had no time to add it on. I was so looking forward to the massage & I was obviously very disappointed. The Spa didn't offer to book it another day (we stayed there for 2 weeks), nor did they offer any other solution. I left feeling robbed (the treatments are pricey) & under-valued! Because of my negative experience at the Spa, i lowered my rating for the hotel, which I didn't want to do as the hotel was wonderful! However, the Spa is part of the hotel & my negative experience there was not a good one & I would NOT recommend booking treatments there!! This was my first time in Italy which was overall amazing, except for my Spa treatments which were very disappointing. The hotel is clean and modern. The rooms have a large bathroom and a great amount of storage. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, underground parking, easy access to the beach. My only complaint is that while the hotel is generally very quiet, any noise from the hallway is heard very loudly in the room. What a lovely hotel this was. Very modern and immaculately clean with everything you could possibly need. On a very quiet strech of lovely beach. We had a junior suite which had a large and very private terrace with hot-tub. Electronic shutters kept the light out and guaranteed a great sleep! Very comfortable bed & pillows. Fridge big enough to put your own drinks in. We ate at both on-site restaurants - Restaurant Sabbioni within the hotel and the Restaurant Pizzeria Hosteria at the Baia Camping Village next door and all the food was absolutely delicious. Staff were all fantastic. Would undoubtedly return! Nice but with some downsides

The good:The property itself is fine, the breakfast is excellent and the restaurant as well if somewhat expansive.The bad:The property itself has no services, everything is on the adjoining camp ground which is not quite the same clientele as the hotel. The three pools are not pools per se , they are kiddie pools with a depth of at most 3 or 4 feet. The pool closes at 6pm which is somewhat weird. The main issue though is that you are in middle of nowhere, the Hotel restaurant is the only decent option around and there is no village within miles, only other camp grounds. Without a car you are basically stuck. There is no way to know all this on the internet.

It is the best hotel ever, very good looking and a nice price. If you would choose any hotel then I would perfer everyone to choose this one, it is very nice and fancy and you wouldn't regret a thing checking into this hotel.
