Location

    Booked a Delux Double room which is meant to be thier top of the range room at 25sq.m. Instead was given a pokey room barely measuring 15sq.m and was told that is a Delux Room.If thatviscthier delux room hate to think what the non- delux rooms are like.So do not be fooled by the pictures on the web site.Hotel is in good location , but a very disappointing experience and a let down for Venice.

    A small hotel tucked away but central to everything (15 minutes walk to the major attractions). Water Taxi stop literally on the doorstep great for getting around and to and from the airport.We got one of the strange rooms with mirrors on the ceiling. Room clean and house keeping amazing throughout the stay. Room had been renovated bathroom dated and with a shower that was difficult to use due to the sloping bathroom ceiling. Made up somewhat for our room having a terrace. Outside space was amazing and we loved being able to sit out. Fridge also provided in the room which was useful. Plenty more of storage for a few days and lots of plugs and USB sockets dotted around the room. Staff all polite and friendly. Breakfast was a good selection and reasonable value. Bar onsite useful but plenty of other bars and restaurants around as well.

    The only negatives ( that's what people look for in these reviews ) .1 The shower sort of umbrellas- missing you if you stand directly underneath. 2 An alarm went off about 0320 - poorly dealt with as no information given. That's it. The rest was Great. Small but very clean room - great housekeeping. Really comfy bed had great sleep all 5 nights. Staff very friendly. Location amazing. Quiet but central just meters away from waterbus stop. The hotel bar was really friendly. Use the seating outside to have a coffee and people watch.

    We had a lovely stay at Hotel Ala. The rooms and common areas were clean and welcoming. I have reviewed 4 stars as it was disappointing for the roof terrace to be closed over Easter when the weather was 20 degrees, and I also paid in advance to book a private water taxi to collect us from the airport a month in advance and the hotel forgot to book it. Hopefully the refund will arrive soon. The room, location and breakfast were all very lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay other than these minor issues. We would certainly return if visiting Venice in the future.

    Enjoyed a stay here in early Spring

    As a solo traveller, 69 years old, I stayed here from 29th March to 2nd April 2026. I booked a deluxe room. Throughout my stay the reception staff were friendly and helpful. This also applies to the staff in the breakfast room, that doubles as a bar in the evening. I felt very welcome as a single traveller, something that doesn't always apply. The location is wonderful, very close to the Alilaguna waterbus stop on the direct line from the airport. From the hotel in one direction it is perhaps 5 minutes walk past very exclusive shops to St Mark's Square. In the other, through a much more relaxed area, it is about 5 minutes to Campo Santo Stefano where there were nice pavement cafes. My room was on the front of the hotel and a very good size. It was very clean and everything worked! The public areas in the hotel are traditional in style and the atmosphere was comfortable. I booked my flight and hotel through Jet2 and was very happy with what I had, considering what I had paid. Venice itself seemed to me expensive compared with other places in Italy where I have stayed over the past year. But it was a fabulous place to visit and I may well grin and bear it from a cost point of view and go again.
