Location

This ideally located hotel is situated right in a small, typical Venetian canal, in the Santa Croce district. Santa Lucia railway station is situated close to the hotel. The centre of the lagoon city is accessible on foot, as well as with the regular waterbus service, in half an hour. There are a variety of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Sightseeing attractions, such as the Rialto Bridge, the Canale Grande and the Villa Foscari are all located close to the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has a lifts and features 45 non-smoking rooms. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     Could not have asked for a better hotel for my stay. Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Room was impeccably clean and ready ahead of schedule. Location was terrific, central to several attractions. Just a very nice hotel!

    Magnificent Hotel in a Magical City!

    We must check out of Hotel Olimpia today and continue our Italian journey, but we will miss this magnificent hotel. Having stayed in numerous Venetian hotels over the past 40 years, I can state with confidence that this hotel ranks among the very best!Location: Steps from Piazzale Roma, the entry point to Venice, Hotel Olimpia is easily accessible by car, bus, taxi, train, and water boat (Vaparetto). It is very easy to navigate all of Venice from this convenient location.Accommodations: Our room, a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite, was spacious, elegant without being pretentious, and fully outfitted with AC, WiFi, coffee and tea service, mini-fridge, and a fantastic bed fitted with crisp, pressed linens. The bathroom was wonderful, featuring a rain shower head and all the amenities needed.Food: The buffet breakfast is outstanding by any standards. Hot and cold foods, delicious sweets, abundant coffee/tea, and fresh fruits of every kind. There is the choice of dining in the charming breakfast room or in the quiet private garden, or along the canal at the front of the hotel.Staff: The best part about this hotel is its warm, welcoming, and professional staff! We felt valued and appreciated like family rather than just guests. From the reception desk to the breakfast room to the housekeeping and bell staff, all were cheerful, friendly, and sincerely concerned with our comfort and wellbeing. A special recognition of Maria at the reception desk, who went out of her way to welcome us to Venice and make us feel as if we were royalty.I cannot recommend this fine hotel miser highly! It deserves 6 stars and should be your only choice when visiting the magical city of Venice!

    An Excellent Stay

    We stayed here in early June. Our room was wonderful. It was very clean, well appointed, and larger for a Venetian hotel room. The AC and the WIFI both worked very well. We received two free bottled waters in our room each day and the small refrigerator kept them cold. The garden area in the hotel was beautiful and relaxing. The staff were friendly and engaging. Our room was cleaned daily and efficiently. The location just off the Pia Roma was perfect. It meant we didn’t have to carry our luggage far at all, test we were in Venice itself. There are many fine restaurants and stores near the hotel and it is a walk of about 20 minutes to St. Mark’s Square. Should we travel to Venice again, we will stay here.

    Warm, Friendly Hotel with Excellent Amenities and Close to Sights

    Hotel Olimpia was truly a highlight of our first-time visit to Venice! Before arrival, the concierge reached out to see if we needed anything for our stay and helped us decide the best way for us to go from the airport to the hotel. The location was great - 15 to 20 minute walks to the main sights, but also close to the train station for the next leg of our trip. What really set the hotel apart was the amazing staff! Warm, friendly, and professional - we felt so cared for by them. Special shout-outs to the breakfast staff, Alessandra and Roberta, for making mornings cheery, and to Pryal, bartender and morning staff, for his warmth and friendliness. Also to Marta at the front desk-her great advice and warm greetings each day set the tone. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast had a lot of variety and was delicious, but what will bring us back to Hotel Olimpia is definitely the amazing staff. This was reinforced later in our trip when we stayed at other (often more expensive, more highly rated) hotels in Italy that just didn't have the same feeling of being welcoming. Thank you for making our stay in Venice so memorable!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was excellent—comfortable, well-appointed, and very clean. The breakfast each morning was high-quality with a great selection, and one of our favorite parts of the stay was sitting outside in front of the hotel enjoying breakfast and taking in the atmosphere.What truly made this hotel special was the staff. Everyone went out of their way to help with anything we needed and always did so with a friendly attitude. Their exceptional service made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others.
