This ideally located hotel is situated right in a small, typical Venetian canal, in the Santa Croce district. Santa Lucia railway station is situated close to the hotel. The centre of the lagoon city is accessible on foot, as well as with the regular waterbus service, in half an hour. There are a variety of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Sightseeing attractions, such as the Rialto Bridge, the Canale Grande and the Villa Foscari are all located close to the hotel.

Location was perfect! Quick walk from bus drop off to hotel. Laura B. at reception was awesome! She was so welcoming and gave great advice! The hotel offers you a 1 hour boat ride (not a tour) around Venice it was 45 euros each. We found it worth it! Rooms were small but extremely clean! They left us cookies as we were celebrating our anniversary! Overall perfect time there zero complaints!! With all the options we would definetly stay there again!

The hotel itself was nice, clean and as you would expect for a hotel in Italy. I wouldn’t stay here again, didn’t like the location, St. Marco square would be much better. We had to carry our luggage across a small bridge over a canal and up and down stairs which was a challenge to get to the hotel. Taxis cannot get you there. Also a not so pleasant hotel clerk who seemed annoyed every time we interacted. Hotel Olimpia Management, Direttore generale at Hotel Olimpia Venice, BW Signature Collection, responded to this review Dear Mrs Erika, thank you for reviewing our hotel. We apologize our location (just 300 mt from Piazzale Roma, with just one bridge to cross) did not match your expectations. For sure San Marco is something else and might have a different appeal, however there are pros and cons: if one bridge to cross might be challenging with heavy suitcases, the way to San Marco is even worst and not eveything is reachable with water taxi. We are sorry you carried by your own the luggage: we try to assist guests as much as possible, and before the arrival when we have the chance we inform them that there is the chance of hiring a private street port in order to reach us or a water taxi. Having the canal right outside the hotel, taxi can stop on a public pier located oustide from our hotel. However, we are really sorry for the trouble occurred with a member of our staff: we kindly ask you please to accept our most sincere apologize for not having been welcomed when you interaced with the clerk. All our staff members are usually appreciated and try to make our guests' stays as pleasant as possibile. We assure you we are working on it and check what might have happened. So luxurious to spend two nights in the hotel's executive suite which was not allthat expensive. This is a well-located hotel near the public bus station which willallow you to go to the airport Marco Polo for only 12E each as well as elsewhere, such as Chioggia which we day tripped. Our room was like an apartment with 2 TVs, 2 sinks, large shower, plenty of toiletries,and continuous hot water. Considering we were in the midst of pedestrian activity, it was always quiet inside. We were in an annex across a well-manicured garden. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choices and always replenished.With Venice hotels always considered expensive, the Hotel Olimpia was a good value. I can recommend this property.

Wonderful stay at Olimpia Hotel

We had a lovely stay at the Olimpia Hotel in Venice. Conveniently located to transportation, restaurants and shopping, the hotel was clean, front desk was extremely helpful and breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed for one night after our cruise, I wish it could have been longer. This is our second time to stay at this beautiful hotel. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff is incredible and a nice little touch is a welcome drink on arrival. It is so handy to reach it from the people mover. Breakfast was very good value. Highly recommend a stay here.
