    Well-located 4-star hotel

    rating18 Sept 2026

The Hotel Accademia has a great location just steps off the Via Mazzini, the main pedestrian shopping street, and a 5-minute walk to Piazza Erbe, the beating heart of the city. It's also a 10-minute walk to the Arena di Verona. It's housed in a historic building. The common areas are lovely, with lots of comfortable seating and lounging areas. There are complimentary drinks such as sparkling wine in the afternoons. My room had good storage and powerful air conditioning. I had a desk chair but no arm chair to sit in. The breakfast buffet is good, with good cappuccino, great croissants, and not-so-great scrambled eggs. I did try the pre-Opera cold buffet in the bar area for 25 Euros - it was not great and not worth it. Skip it.

Hotel overall nice, room not so nice.

    rating24 Aug 2026

The hotel is in an excellent location, the public areas are lovely, however I don’t think our room is quite up to scratch. The bathroom is ‘tired’, the bottom of the door wrotten, mould in the shower. It is nice to have a window that opens. I think we have paid too much for a room like this. We haven’t had the breakfast, it’s not included. Hotel Accademia, Direttore generale at Hotel Accademia, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to read that you found our public areas lovely, but we are very sorry that your room did not meet your expectations. Regarding the issues you mentioned in the bathroom, including the moisture stain on the shower ceiling, please accept our sincere apologies. We take maintenance very seriously and wish we had been informed during your stay. Our reception team is available around the clock and would have been mor than happy to either arrange an immediate repair or move you to a different room to ensure your comfort. We also appreciate your comments regarding the pricing and the breakfast. Our room rates are carefully set to remain competitive and fully aligned with the current market standards of our city. To offer maximum flexibility, breakfast is an optional add-on that guests can choose to purchase, which is why it was not included in your specific booking.Your feedback regarding the bathroom door and ceiling has been forwarded directly to our maintenance team for immediate attention. We hope you will give us another opportunity in the future.Best regards.A. Reception, Customer Care Office

Visit to Verona to celebrate my birthday and see “Aida” at the arena

    rating18 Aug 2026

Fabulous hotel in the centre of Verona. Spacious room with comfortable bed and lovely seating area. The hotel is on a quiet street but adjacent to shops, restaurants and sights. The arena is a 5 minute walk. All the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The reception team not only gave great restaurant recommendations but also tracked down sunglasses which we had left in a taxi and arranged for their return. We loved it and cannot recommend them highly enough Hotel Accademia, Direttore generale at Hotel Accademia, responded to this review Dear Guest,we are delighted to read your words of appreciation. Knowing that your stay was pleasant fills us with satisfaction and encourages us to always do better.Best regards.A. - Reception, Customer Care Office
