    Exquisite Visit✨

    rating27 Sept 2025

This was the most unique hotel and dinner we have experienced in our world travels! We were charmed by our driver, Vitolo, welcomed by Riccardo at our reception, and served by Elana with perfect attention. The hotel’s contemporary art collection could be exhibited in any fine art museum or gallery; in fact, the collection was enhanced with the furnishings, lighting and stenciled walls and ceilings. Our room was spacious, comfortable and imaginatively decorated. As we walked the grounds, every space surprised us: flowers, trees, gazebos, water features, vine-covered loggia…Finally, the piece de resistance was our dinner created by Chef Mattia Bianchi—sublime. We absolutely loved our stay. Ideal for modern art lovers!

    rating26 Sept 2025

Wild and wacky hotel full of bright and graphic modern art. Very much a statement place, and only really suitable if you like the modern art world. Staff were helpful but it did take about 15 minutes to get drinks ordered on the terrace, despite letting staff know we were wanting to order. Room service was excellent, but breakfast a bit of a disappointment. Hotel about 30 minutes from town, but free shuttle busses provided till 7:30pm by the hotel for guests. Byblos Art Hotel Management, Servizi per gli ospiti/front office at Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amista, responded to this review Dear Warwick,We thank you for sharing your experience about your last stay at Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amistà.We are so glad you appreciated the unique atmosphere of our Hotel and the art collection we host. Byblos Art Hotel is an exquisite 5 star property! The team was extremely polite, professional and attentive. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. I loved waking up to the rooster every morning and seeing them running around the property :)All the team members we encountered had gone above and beyond. A big thank you to Riccardo and the front office team, the two young servers in the lobby bar, the lovely shuttle drivers, the housekeeping team who handled our room with such care and the F&B team for an amazing breakfast experience. For art posers only

    rating09 Sept 2025

Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amista Corrubbio di Negarine 1026243013 Beautiful villa ruined by atrocious contemporary art by the world's worst artists. Hideously installed art everywhere, corridors filled with pathetic graffiti art. The rooms are ridiculously furnished with garish colors and dumb art. Towels, sheets and pillows are of the worst quality. The prices are absurd. The only redeeming factor was a good breakfast. If you love pointless pretensions, stay there. Otherwise steer clear!!! Byblos Art Hotel Management, Servizi per gli ospiti/front office at Byblos Art Hotel Villa Amista, responded to this review Dear Guest,Your review does not read as a simple personal opinion, but rather as a deliberate attempt to disparage a truly unique reality. The villa you claim is “ruined” is in fact enriched by works of internationally renowned artists: from Andy Warhol to Robert Indiana, from Jim Dine to Sol LeWitt, along with many others who have created site-specific installations especially for our spaces. The interiors bear the signature of Alessandro Mendini, one of the great masters of design, who always upheld a simple yet profound principle: all colors must coexist, for color is energy, color is healing. If one only sees “ugliness” everywhere, perhaps it is because one carries that same ugliness within. We see what we are.Personal taste does not determine the value of an artwork. As the Romans wisely said, de gustibus non disputandum est. And Friedrich Schiller wrote: if you cannot please everyone, it is no fault; but if you do please everyone, it is a fault. Before dismissing the dedication of so many artists, perhaps you should ask yourself: from what authority do you judge? Are you a curator, an art critic, an established expert with the credentials to pass such verdicts? On a more practical note, may we ask: what exactly was wrong with the towels? Why did you not bring it up with our staff during your stay? It is easier, of course, to write behind a screen than to engage in dialogue face-to-face.Curiously, the only aspect you acknowledge positively is breakfast. Yet you neglect to mention that last year our property was awarded the Michelin Key, and that our restaurant holds a Michelin Star. Perhaps then, your review speaks less about us, and far more about your own way of looking at the world. We prefer to remain polite, but it is hard not to notice that your words resemble less a review and more an outpouring of bitterness—a “vomit” which, in its hostility, reveals more about you than it does about us.Sincerely,Beatriz Millar(Art Director)
