This ‘hotel’ is not four stars at all!! Is a dirty, filthy place that should have some health and safety inspectors as I am sure you can catch some nasty diseases too! Unbelievably and shockingly bad.the swimming pool as well was disgusting

Good enough if looking for a budget stay

I was really worried after booking this hotel and then seeing the reviews here. I was travelling alone with my 3 children and was relieved on checking in to discover we had a very comfortable room with working air con and a lovely big windows overlooking a farm. The shower could have done with an upgrade maybe, but it’s a budget hotel so we were not bothered. We stayed during a heatwave so the pools were such a great bonus, could barely keep my kids out of them. The bus stop is right outside and you can catch the bus North into Verona or the one that goes South then heads to Lake Garda. Whilst this made travelling about easier for us, the buses to the area end quite early (around 8pm) so we ended up having to get taxis a few times. If I stayed here again I would hire a car. The restaurant is adequate, we had breakfast included which was fine. Not huge amounts of choice but enough that everyone was happy. We also ate lunch and dinner there once. Again, the food was good enough and the kids all found something they would eat. At busy times there could be a bit of a queue for the food. We didn’t see many sports teams when we were there so I wonder if it was a quieter period, I imagine at really busy periods the small room for the food could cause issues, but the seating in the restaurant itself is plentiful. The only issue I really had was my safe didn’t work with the code I programmed and the staff informed me that they’d sort it at 9am the following morning, when I was leaving at 7:30am for my flight and our passports were in there! I did have to insist quite firmly before they agreed to sort it that evening, rather than leave it to the morning. I think you get what you pay for, and at the price we paid we were more than happy with our stay.

Location is perfect, central location in northern italy, easy acces to local supermarkets, gasstations. Villafranca itself is gorgeous and the people are so friendly.Atmospehere is nice, very friendly staff (yana, omar, simone, giorgio and the rest to deserve a raise). The staff made the experience even better for us. They really threated us and yhe kids as family. There will be some groups of school kids or sportteams, but that was made very clear when we booked, so that was part of the expectation.The rooms and the hotel in general can us a touch up in terms of maintenance, but we got what we paid for: clean beds, working ac, clean bathroom, 2 nice swimmingpools (1500 euro for 10 nights incl breakfast and taxes, for 4 persons). For breakfast it is just a standard breakfast, not outstanding but also not bad. For lunch and dinner we visited local spots, mostly la greca across the street (the hotel needs to partner up with them!). Also on a strange location (industrial area right across a Bentley and Rolls Royce garage) there is a very nice fish restaurant, local, good prices, amazing food.I would highly recommend this hotel to do some renovations, not big budget but just a big maintenance touch up overall. To end with something possitive: we will return someday, hopefully to be greated by the same staff. I would therefor recommend everybody to stay here when you plan a visit to verona region. Just keep in mind the pricing and your expectations. (Dont lower your expectations to the ground, just keep in mind that you pay 3 star pricing and the 4 star rating is lower then what it could be with some basic maintenance and general touch ups)

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER OF MY LIFE!

Absolutely disgusting. The place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. There were cockroaches crawling around, rats running across the floor, and the whole place smelled awful. The tables were dirty, the service was painfully slow, and the food was cold and tasted terrible.The staff didn’t seem to care about any of the complaints, and the overall experience was shocking from beginning to end. I couldn’t wait to leave and honestly wish I had gone somewhere else.I would never return and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
