  I've been to this hotel about 14-15 years ago and had a very good experience. That's why I came back but this time it was quite different. In the presentation, they say: "the brand new Montemezzi", but it's not new anymore, it was new probably 15 years ago. And the furniture is the same. The main problem is that by the 4 stars they state, they set the expectations too high for what they offer. That's everywhere in the world a 3 star hotel. - Poor breakfast offer (NO vegetables at all)- water getting in the room by the window when it rained- restaurant has few options to order at 21:00 (we could only order pasta and chicken breast), all other products were unavailable- no mini bar in the room, just the empty fridge- you buy water from the restaurant but they don't let you take it and drink it into the room- old furniture, also in the bathroom- bad smell, especially in the bathroom- bad lighting in the room Hotel Montemezzi, Altro at Hotel Montemezzi, responded to this review Dear guest, Thank you for choosing Montemezzi Hotel again and for sharing your opinion on our structure. However, we respectfully disagree with the assessment that our current offering is 'poor'.Every morning, our extensive breakfast buffet provides a rich and varied selection of sweet, savory, and fresh products. This includes a full range of hot items (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages), cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit, various cereals and seeds, a wide assortment of bakery items (croissants, cakes, muffins, pancakes, bread, and savory options like pizza), yogurts, freshly squeezed orange juice, other juices, jams, chocolate, and honey. We also ensure dedicated options are available for guests with celiac disease and lactose intolerance, all complemented by high-quality Italian espresso coffee and cappuccino.-Room and Maintenance Issues: We sincerely regret that you did not report the issues experienced in your room during your extended five-night stay. Immediate notification to our Reception team would have allowed our staff to intervene promptly and resolve any discomfort in real-time, particularly since some issues, such as those related to rain, are not constant. We have already initiated immediate internal checks and maintenance based on your feedback. We would also like to assure you that, as evidenced by many other reviews, the cleanliness and spaciousness of our rooms are highly appreciated by our guests, despite the deliberately simple, functional, and well-maintained furnishings.- We took note of your feedback regarding the limited options available at closure time. The Montemezzi Restaurant is dedicated to Italian gastronomy, offering a menu rich in local tradition and the great classics of Italian cuisine. Our menu features a variety of iconic Italian dishes, many of which include different types of pasta, along with proposals centered on local and seasonal products. - Regarding the mini-bar and water rule: We sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding. Guests are absolutely welcome to take any purchased beverage, including water from our restaurant, to their rooms—this is not prohibited. Furthermore, we offer a complimentary, ultra-filtered water dispenser available 24/7 in the reception area, a service we proudly provide to ensure you have access to pure, fresh water at any time, a choice that also supports our commitment to sustainability.We hope you will grant us the opportunity to change your mind by returning to visit us.   easy online checkin. No staff after midnight but all is possible with a downloadable smart-phone-installed key. Very simple, very easy. In the morning, we were greeted by friendly staff and even though breakfast was not included in our price we still got a little take-away cake as a gift.

  Lovely hotel and staff, we only had breakfast which was very nice, the only issue we had was the location and bus service is poor, costing €35 for a taxi to Verona and airport.Staff very helpful, wish it was closer to Verona.

  Stopover in northern Italy with a visit to Verona as an option

  One of very well located and nicely furnished hotels for motorised tourists travelling to the South of Italy from across the Alps. The added value is that Verona is about half an hour away (not too far actually but speed limits all the way) so you can stop here for the night, spend the evening visiting the city of Romeo and Juliet, and move on after breakfast. However, not recommended if Verona is your aim, the hike back for and forth is too much of a drag.

  A nice clean little hotel on the outskirts of Verona, not too far from the airport. I used it whilst on business. Everyone was friendly and polite. Rooms are a good size and come with all the basic necessities to enjoy a comfortable night, including good shower and plenty of bed space. I did not eat here at night but had the breakfast which is the one weak spot I found. The quality is not good compared to the rest of the hotel. I mean this in the nicest possible way as breakfast service was good but brioche, fruit juice etc not good. using the online pre-book breakfast service is also not particularly recommended. All said and done i was happy here and would certainly stay again.
