  One night in this hotel. 1970s structure that would need a total renovation. Simple single room not large but with enough space and comfortable mattress. Breakfast just sweet no salty.   Clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, I stayed for work and the room is nice clean modern with the bed finally comfortable and a perfect bathroom; for dinner I ate very well complimenting the cook.   I was booked to stay here two nights on business but had to check out after one. Rooms are small, dim and noisy ( every time a tap was turned on a strange whistling sound could be heard) breakfast is a joke and other ‘facilities’ non existent. Decor (and wiring) is straight out of the seventies and the whole place has an ambience of a sad little hotel that could do poor unsuspecting travellers a favour by closing.I travel regularly around Europe on business but this the first time I’ve been so disappointed as to post on TA.Don’t go ! You’ll regret it. Alessandro D, Direttore at Hotel Salieri, responded to this review EGR SIG JOHN B DI MIDDLISBOURUGH,Abbiamo cercato di insegnare la civiltà alle popolazioni del Suo piovoso e triste paese fin dai tempi di Giulio Cesare, purtroppo con scarsi risultati.La Sua recensione offensiva (dump in inglese sta per cumulo di rifiuti), se Tripadvisor fosse onesto, non avrebbe dovuto essere pubblicata viste le falsità e le offese che contiene, riteniamo dovute al Suo disappunto, degno di un vero esponente della miglior nobiltà britannica, quando a fronte di una prenotazione su HRS per 2 giorni Le abbiamo chiesto di pagare integralmente il soggiorno dopo la Sua decisione di partire anticipatamente (le Sue parole sono state "non sono molto contento") come previsto da legge prenotazione condizioni con HRS ecc.Su una cosa concordo: per colazione non serviamo l'Haggis, piatto nazionale decisamente poco appetibile per noi italiani con il suo gusto di budello di pecora macinato servito all'interno di un budello di pecora, ma cose più consone alla tradizione italiana quali brioches, cereali, marmellate, caffè (quello vero, non la sciacquatura di piatti cui siete abituati voi figli di Albione).Nonostante la pretesa di Gordon Ramsey di insegnare agli italiani come si fa da mangiare il nostro orgoglio nazionale resiste almeno in questo settore.Per il resto Le assicuro che non abbiamo nessuna intenzione di chiudere e anzi proseguiremo con il rinnovamento dei locali (ascensore nuovo, porte nuove, pavimenti nuovi, ecc ora i bagni) e mi permetto di invitarLa a vergognarsi profondamente e a rispettare il lavoro altrui senza perdersi in insulti immotivati per poche decine di euro.Egr Triadvisor,vergognatevi, recensione come quella del Sig. John B non dovreste nemmeno pubblicarle.

  We ended into this hotel because it was late and needed place to sleep.Booking was fast and room was ok - nothing special but everything was clean.Breakfast was basic but Good and we had enough for good start of day.Peoples working were nice and helpful.
