    Relaxing weekend amongst the vines

    We stayed 3 nights at Tenuta Le Cave and found it to be a good base for our visit to the region. The property was nicely located in beautiful, peaceful countryside and was ideal for a relaxing short break. If the weather had been conducive, we would have taken advantage of the lovely outdoor pool area – maybe next time! Breakfast was slightly basic but we enjoyed the food and wines we had in the evenings at the restaurant and bar, as well as a massage each at the spa. The wellness area looked fine as we were walked through it to the massage room (although having us walk through was likely not ideal for those using it…) but we recall an appointment and additional payment were required and weren’t minded to book in. Our room was comfortable enough although it’s always quirky when the shower forms part of the bedroom! Otherwise, there were a couple of hen parties coming and going while we were there, which we were worried might spoil the ambience, but they didn’t affect our experience. We would generally recommend and consider returning to this property.

    I had the most incredible stay here. I was travelling alone, but the friendliness of the staff made me feel right at home. Roberto in particular was extremely friendly and kind, and we shared some great conversations! The lady at the reception (sorry I didn’t catch your name!) was also always very helpful and kind.The location itself is gorgeous and it was such a treat to be able to wake up and fall asleep to such a view for 3 days. The rooms are also decorated gorgeously, very spacious, and kept very clean. The food was also incredible!     This is an absolutely beautiful hotel! It has a gorgeous setting. We did a wine tasting and had dinner and both were terrific. The breakfast was also excellent. Service was amazing as well. Great place to stay away from the city if you are in the area!     We booked the double deluxe room with patio. It was one of the cheapest but totally wonderful. It is located in the main building, convenient to the wine tasting, to reception, to the pool, and the restaurant. The room is loaded with charm and was quiet at night. The resort is beyond beautiful. We did the wine tasting with Igor who was a delightful host. The setting for the tasting is in the wine cellar and the pourings generous.
