Location

This hotel is located in the banking and business quarter of Kingston, only around a 5-minute walk from the centre of New Kingston. Plenty of international offices, embassies, historical sightseeing attractions, cultural venues, inviting restaurants and boutiques are located within walking distance. Port Royal is around 30 minutes away, while Ocho Rios is around 90 minutes from the hotel. Kingston airport lies roughly 18 km away.

Facility

300 rooms are located on 17 storeys and can be reached by lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. For guests who wish to keep active, tennis, basketball and golf are available. Meals

Various dining options are available, including a café and a bar. Guests can dine in 3 restaurants, which feature high chairs for children and air conditioning. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. For breakfast (continental), lunch, and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet or choose their favourite dishes from the à la carte options (for lunch and dinner).     I recently spent seven days at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel while attending the Caribbean Studies Association's 50th Annual Conference, and I had an excellent experience.From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Special thanks to Loretta, Yolanda, the entire Front Desk team, and the Security team, who were always pleasant, attentive, responsive, and professional. Their friendliness and willingness to assist made a real difference throughout my stay.The hotel facilities were wonderful. I enjoyed the pool area, which provided a great space to relax between conference activities, and the Spa team deserves a special mention for helping me unwind after long days of meetings, presentations, and events.The housekeeping staff did an excellent job, ensuring that rooms and common areas remained clean and comfortable throughout the week.The food was another highlight.     The Pegasus remains the best hotel in Kingston for any large business gathering. I stayed there for a week for the CSA Conference and the service was excellent. I could see how hard the staff worked at all levels to make us comfortable and to cater to our needs. Some of my colleagues stayed at the sister hotel, Courtleigh, and the team really came out strong. I also enjoyed the food - really lovely rice and peas! and the 24 hour Cafe at the front of Pegasus was such a joy and delight. Best Oatmeal cookies ever!
