  Browning in the towel hut is great. Give that girl and all the other fabulous staff in the town hut, a fan for all their hard work PLEASE..🙏🏼. Love Javon at the pool bar, he makes the best rum punch, and Red Bull and Too Short keep us entertained throughout the day but can we have aqua aerobics everyday? As for the rest of the staff, they’re all great, front desk very helpful, any problems are not a problem for long. Big up Shanty in the restaurant too, I still owe you..🫣

  This not a 4 or 5 star resort. More like 2 to 3. The customer service here amongst staff is hit or miss. The worst part of this is them trying sell you a timeshare. Who wants to be sold and deal with a 90 min presentation with a fake sales person while on vacation? The rooms are very dated, the elevators are suspect. Food was blah. First and last time coming to JA or staying at Ibeostar. Hyatt would never pull the stunts we witnessed during this trip.   This is our first time to Jamaica, although we have stayed at other Iberostars. We were at the "Waves" property. Mostly positive - but a couple of negatives I will note are that the beds are exceptionally hard and the pillows pretty flat. I'm used to "less than stellar" beds in Europe and in the Carribean, but this one actually caused me to lose sleep. And although most staff was very friendly and fun, I did feel like the pool bartenders just seemed annoyed by me. I got served, but never so much as a smile. One in particular was always flirting with the PYTs (I'm neither) so he acted like I was an unwelcome interruption (and I DO tip, every single time). Aside from that, most staff was super friendly and welcoming and always very attentive. I felt bad for the entertainment crew at the pool - when we were there I guess it was a pretty low energy crowd? No one wanted to participate in anything, and I'm sure it was frustrating because they were doing there darndest to bring the energy. I DID do aqua aerobics with "Aquaman" and he was a blast! And not just fun - he really knew his stuff and got right in the water to help an older lady who was struggling a bit. The pool overall is nice - an infinity pool with two sides - one for activities and the bar and the other quieter. It wasn't very deep (I love the pool at Iberostar in Playa del Carmen because it has a deep end and you can really enjoy floating around!) The food was decent - you won't starve. We DID book a romantic beach dinner. It ended up being inside because of rain, but that food was STELLAR. Literally the best seafood chowder I have ever had, and a really good steak. Of the regular restaurants I enjoyed the Japanese one the most. We also dove with Dressel, and went on an excursion to the Luminous Lagoon with them - and again, the staff there is OUTSTANDING.

  I will be definitely celebrating my anniversary in Jamaica, just the way how I celebrated my birthday with my close friends. Our concierge Keirah ensure that we got the reservations for the restaurants booked,she showed us where our tour rep was located etc.Absolutely beautiful hotel,family oriented, rooms are nice big and clean.The bartenders always make my morning coffee.Iberostar Waves❤️
