Huge fire safety risk

Centrally located ordinary hotel. The room is very small even for Asian standards and the bathroom even smaller. We were on the top floor and wanted to take the stairs downstairs. We found that the stairwell was locked. When we inquired at the hotel desk the clerk said that they stayed locked and if there is a fire the staff will come upstairs and get the guests. Are you kidding me? Do not book this hotel and check your fire escapes in the future.

Excellent location and comfortable hotel

Just 1 min walk from Fukui station. Bus and taxi stops just at a corner. You can drop the baggage and go meeting directly. Many shops and mall around. It’s very convenience for a business guy. The room size is good and comfortable. The working desk is good enough for more laptop. The bed is good. (Just got bad experience in Ginza). Room is clean. All amenities provided. Hotel has hot spring for the guest use. Free ramen at night 21:30-22:30. Breakfast is also good in a set (western or Japanese). I like this hotel very much. Must select this hotel in my next Fukui trip.

A standard decent hotel within 4 minutes walk from Fukui Train station. The furnishings are rather dated and in great need for an upgrade.There are only 2 twin room on each floor in case you have a big group.

Great value and great location

One of the best hotel in term of value in Fukui. The hotel is located right beside the train station, and it is very convenience.The room is about standard Japan size room, but alittle bigger. The room is very clean. They do provide daily buffet breakfast with great variety of traditional Japanese food. There are also free coffee and tea available at lobby during certain hours. And they also offer free soba (limited amount) during night time.The lobby staffs and cleaners are also very friendly.

A very pleasant stay

I had booked 2 twin adjoining rooms, which gave us each a bathroom and a bit more space. We arrived earlier than book-in time but paid a nominal fee and they let us in to our rooms early. Beds were very comfortable and we both managed to sleep decently. I liked the fact that we were able to chose extra pillows of our liking from the 2nd floor, and that they had washers/dryers, so we managed to do a load of washing. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a bit disappointing for our tastes, but to be fair we had been spoilt for choice in Kyoto. We did manage to find cornflakes and yoghurt, and (very runny) scrambled eggs with what looked like mini hamburgers with cheese in the middle.This hotel definitely suited our purposes for the 2 nights we spent there.
