It's a hotel for foreigners, but it can be used for business trips

The front desk is located on your right just after you enter the hotel. The bath was shower-only, and the refrigerator was shared with a commercial refrigerator on the front desk floor.Overall, I'm happy.

A Truly Grateful Experience.

The front reception staffs are impeccably professional and helpful. Their competence and kind understanding are their assets to this hospitality industry. I was taken very ill and my heart requires immediate angioplasty. During which time, the staffs were extremely helpful with my reservations. They even assisted me with my suitcases. An experience I will not forget and will definitely be back when I am feeling better.

Will anybody read...
06 Nov 2022
...this review? Does anybody write TripAdvisor reviews anymore? I have been pretty steadily for the past 6 or 7 years but moving away from it recently. I decided to do my writing on Google Maps because I believe more people read that when reading reviews for hotels, restaurants, and attractions. So I think it's been a while since I wrote a review especially for a hotel on this site. When I saw that no one had written a review for lyf Tenjin Fukuoka before, I was kind of drawn to do one for some reason. All this being said which you're probably not interested in, what might interest you is that I think this is an awesome hotel well worth the great price I got through Expedia. I was very comfortable and enjoyed my stay here too much. Though the rooms are a bit small and basic as is the case at most hotels (at least at the numerous ones I've stayed at) in Japan, I think this hotel has an awesome contemporary cosmopolitan style to it and certainly provides everything needed and wanted. Lets see: large comfortable bed with fresh new linen; big smart TV that I could watch YouTube and Netflix; spotless bathroom with a sizable shower and elaborate bidet toilet (which I'm beginning to believe is a necessary and essential part of my life). I guess if I wanted anything different about my room, it would've been a chair instead of the ottoman style stool the have at the desk/workspace which is small. I'm 62 years old and stools just don't cut it anymore for my painful crooked spine. However I was very comfortable downstairs working on my laptop in their hip stylish lobby. Seems like they offer everything one needs. I didn't use the laundry or kitchen so I can't speak to them. And I didn't try their breakfast offerings either, but I kind of wish I did because they looked beautiful. I'm too fat to eat something so delicious looking. I did order some coffee and tea a couple times and those were good. The staff is very friendly here. Jeff was particularly helpful checking in and out - just a real good guy to talk with and get some advice from. Everyone was very accommodating, and I never felt out of place (which I usually do) as they have a very eclectic guest clientele coming and going. I saw: young people; families with kids; businessmen; a small group of foreigners. I was the only old man I think; I always am. Actually, this hotel asserts inclusivity of all people as policy which I strongly support and commend. I really liked my stay here, and I'm sure I'll be back. I plan on being in Japan - probably just Kyushu - a couple months, and Fukuoka is my home base. This is the perfect hotel in the perfect area for me to come and go in my wanderings. 私の日本人の友達のほとんどは、私は行き当たりばったりと言っています。
