  Was very disappointing on a number of levels..and areas that could be improved.The door into the room leaves little or no space if there are two twin beds.Mold in bathroom in a number of areas.General cleanliness of rooms...not high.. the duvets are yellow from....past users of room.Dusty rooms - we all required antihistamines..Aircon set to cremate its so high and the only alternative to cool the room is open the room door,Doors into the bathroom slam every time you want any privacy. Beds are harder than concrete..Chair provided had 3 plus stains on the seat...in areas you just don't want to ask questions about..Breakfast.... consisted of a waffle dissected into 8 pieces and food was cold after arriving 15 minutes after opening.

  Worst stay ever- cheaper/nicer options nearby. Awful beds and unfriendly staff.

  The hotel was a 10 min walk from the station - and the side hotel sign was in Japanese so unless you can read it - you would walk right past it. Unless you were on the opposite side of the street to read the English writing. The day we checked in the lady was less than friendly. She never smiled and insisted on speaking very fast Japanese. We both know she and I could speak English as she was a foreigner!!! She was rude! Lucky for her I am Canadian but I can also speak and understand Japanese. When I spoke back in English she didn’t even try. The man working along side her was friendly in more than one occasion during the stay. He would look up a smile and at least say good morning or hello. She would meet our eyes and just look away. Upon check out I purposely waited for him. He was lovely. We stayed there the 11th and 12th of May 2025. If that’s the way she greets your customers she is not doing your hotel any great service. It was a huge turn off. The hotel is very outdated. Towels are so small. The room yucata barely fits a child. Not all Japanese people are THAT small. Perhaps a choice of 2 sizes would be nice. We aren’t big people. The toilet had trouble flushing and the bathroom shower curtain is light and airy - and kept wanting to attach itself to my body. Very uncomfortable shower. Water pressure very light. Most of this we can look past. What we couldn’t look past was the terrible AWFUL horrible beds. I normally don’t comment on pillow or beds since that’s a personal choice. This time I just have to!! The floor would have been equally as hard. I had to use the extra blankets in the room to put a bit of cushion under my hips or back. We were here for 2 very uncomfortable nights. We have been travelling Japan for 2 weeks so far and this is the absolute worst stay. I wish I had really read the reviews. We figured out later that there was no bed mattress It was just a double boxspring that we were sleeping on.

  location is fine, 8 minutes walk to station, airportbus in front of the hotelwooden floor, and a big, larger than avg bath, which was niceno aircon, central heating, room got very hotstaff was a bit lacklustre about this, got offered a fan ... in the land of Shinkansen and paying 100 euro for the room, I got offered a fan ...no sound-proofingbfast LO is 8:45 ... a more relaxed bfast option is Royal Host, out the door to the right 2 blocks, opposite the park

  We had a pleasant stay at Sutton Hotel when we recently visited Fukuoka for 2 nights. The hotel room was big enough for 2 people, the price is super low when we booked it, good amenities and it's located right in the center of Hakata. The front desk staff were all nice and accommodating. Free wi-fi, toiletries, clean towels are provided. I'll stay here again once I'm back in Fukuoka.

  I stayed for 4 nights in this hotel and tried both standard double room and family suite. I will definitely recomment this hotel to family traveler, it has a good location for transport like buses to airport/ attractions and just 8 mins walk from JR Hakata station. I would like to thank you Kim from front desk, there are 2 sofa beds in the family suite room, it was q. Tight as the house keeping opened them all in my room, it was about 9pm which the house keeping staff already off duty, and he just replied I should be able to fold back for you. And a moment later, he came to our room and did it for us. He is for sure an assets of Sutton hotel.I hope the management can see this comment.
