Nice Western style hotel close to lots of bars restaurants and entertainment. Also has some convenience stores and an Italian style restaurant under the hotel on the ground floor. Great location clean and comfortable plus check in was easy and the staff helpful.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

We really enjoyed coming 'home' to our room during our 4 night stay at this 3.5 star, very reasonably priced hotel located close to public transport and the nightlife area of Susukino with all the restaurants on offer. This Japanese business hotel had location, location, location and with functional good size rooms that were more western size although finding somewhere for a 2nd suitcase was a challenge, had a comfortable firm bed, fridge, fast wi-fi. Could not master the air-con but could open the window, we slept well. Only Japanese TV channels, convenient 7-Eleven. With reception on the 2nd floor, the 1st ( ground ) lobby area was dim and not overly welcoming. Staff at reception efficient and businesslike.Room was serviced daily with complimentary water bottles, good selection of drip coffee and tea bags for the taking at Reception. The typical Japanese overpackaging with plastic made me feel like it was a Japanese tea ceremony when making coffee.Great location, attractive price, clean comfortable rooms – recommended!

The best location!

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I was assigned room 1103. My nightly rate with all taxes and fees was $80.40 USD.Service - Service was fine. Nobody stood out as being extra helpful or friendly. Very transactional interaction with staff.Room - For the price, the room was fine. Compact. Wi-fi was reliable and fast. Mini-refrigerator, small flat screen television, the AC system worked decent, but could have been better and the thermostat could have been more user-friendly. Bed was not very comfortable. Two small pillows. There was a random lounge chair in the room. Bathroom was fine. Not much space for your toiletries. Tub with shower curtain. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in dispensers. Great water pressure from the removable shower head. Hotel - The hotel has 240 rooms on 13 floors. Drab lobby, Not very bright or welcoming. Outdated furniture. Lobby / front desk is on floor 2. 7-Eleven and Salvatore Cuomo Restaurant are on the ground floor. Avoid this Italian restaurant at all costs. They have hidden charges. It was noted on the bottom of the menu in small print, but I hate the practice of surcharges at restaurants. This was the ONLY restaurant in Japan where I encountered this. They also kept saying my card was declined, but the reason it was declined is because they do not accept MasterCard! They never explained it that way and it was very awkward and off-putting. I could have used a different credit card if I had known, but I had to use cash instead. Location - The best part of this hotel is the location. It is in the best location, the Susukino district of the Chūo Ward. Practically everything is within walking distance. Ganso Sapporo Ramen Yokocho (Original Sapporo Ramen Alley), Sapporo Riverside Gourmet Park, Ōdōri Park, Sapporo TV Tower, Pole Town Underground Shopping Mall, Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade, Nijō Fish Market, street car stations, and a few metro / subway stations are all within a short walk of the hotel. Tons of retailers, convenience stores, and restaurants are all very close too. I recommend this hotel because of the price and location.

Average Japanese business hotel

This is your average Japanese business hotel. It has a good location near susukino close to lots of restaurants and bars. It's located within walking distance from susukino station and Pole town, making it very convenient to get places while avoiding the cold. There's also an entrance from the hotel directly into 7 eleven which is also great when it's cold. The rooms themselves were small as expected but I've definitely slept on comfier beds in business hotels. The bathroom is your typical small Japanese bathroom. However our bathroom had a bit of a sewerage smell. Our friends who stayed in other rooms didn't have this same problem. Overall it's a good budget option that's in a convenient location.
