Did not enjoy my stay here. Difficult check in - had asked for quiet room and was given one next to lift and 'guest hub'. Endless coach parties arriving and departing. Queues in dismal breakfast area with undrinkable coffee, stale bread, icy vegetables and unappetising eggs. Japanese breakfast choices fair. Rooms only serviced every two days. Breakfast/rooms/service all felt 'budget' and penny pinching but this is not a budget hotel, at least not in my book. Endless notices and instructions. Felt institutional. Would never return.

An accessible hotel from Sapporo station
15 Dec 2025
The hotel is easily accessible from Sapporo station.Room is clean and neat. The only complaint is for my particular room, the curtain was not able to block the light totally, so I was always awaken by the am sunlight. Breakfast was quite a spread, but do be mentally to wake up very early as there seemed to be a lot of locals who would stay here and if even if you reach the cafe 5 minutes before opening hours, you would see a queue forming up already.

Outstanding service and exceptional care
11 Dec 2025
During my recent stay, I had the pleasure of being assisted by the Vice Manager, Shiori Kinoshita, who truly went above and beyond. After unexpectedly injuring my wrist, I found myself in a stressful situation, unsure of where to seek medical help. Ms. Kinoshita immediately stepped in with genuine care and professionalism. She personally helped me contact the hospital, coordinated the details, and made sure I received the attention I needed. Her calm guidance and willingness to go the extra mile turned a difficult moment into a reassuring experience. Thanks to her exceptional support, I felt safe, cared for, and incredibly grateful. Shiori Kinoshita is a shining example of outstanding hospitality, and she made my stay far more comfortable than I could have hoped for. Highly recommended

Overnight stay in Central Sapporo
09 Oct 2025
After a long flight we were looking for somewhere that was easy to get to and comfortable for an overnight stay. The Solaria hotel was a great choice.Driving from Chitose airport took just over an hour and with its central location, it was easy to find. The hotel staff spoke English and the checkin experience was very smooth. The Hotel:Located centrally with lots of food, supermarkets and bars just a short walk away. It’s very warmly inside and the decor is pleasing. The facilities were all very accessible although we didn’t get to use the onsen. There was a handy station to collect free accessories for the room; razor, toothbrush etc.The roomWe had a standard double room and it was compact yet not cramped. Two of us fit nicely in the room even with two large luggage. The bathroom was good with a shower and a bathtub and separate toilet. Just down the hall was a free water station to use for making tea/coffee. We both slept well but I think that was because we were tired from travelling. The pillows were a little hard but still reasonably comfortable.Breakfast was on the second floor restaurant. We arrived at 6:50am and there was a queue outside. You need to take a number and wait to be called. Despite this, we only waited for about 7 minutes before our number was called. It was a good spread of food, including deserts so will satisfy anyone’s cravings. We left breakfast just before 8am and it was only half full so maybe consider you timing so you don’t need to wait.I would start here again and can recommend if you’re wanting a short stay in central Sapporo.
