  Terrible Service, Even Worse Follow-Up

  Front desk service — and more impressively, the way complaints are ignored afterward — was astonishingly poor.My mother was staying at this hotel after traveling from overseas. As we had not seen each other for a long time, I politely asked a short-haired female front desk staff member if she could take a single photo for us. One photo. Nothing complicated. The front desk was almost empty at the time.Her immediate response was:“That is not a service we provide.”Cold, dismissive, and final.Of course, staff may have other duties.But apparently, in this hotel, having other tasks means basic courtesy is optional.I later contacted the hotel by email to formally explain what happened.There was no reply for three days (including two business days).Only after sending a second message did I receive a response — one that carefully avoided the issue of attitude, focused on self-justification, and felt more like a template than a sincere reply.When I asked again for a direct explanation regarding the staff’s behavior, the hotel chose the simplest solution: total silence.What is most disappointing is not a single staff member’s poor attitude, but the hotel’s overall approach:downplaying the guest’s discomfort, ignoring inconvenient points, and ultimately hoping the issue will disappear if they stop responding.It didn’t.I will not stay here again, and I would strongly advise anyone who values basic respect at the front desk to look elsewhere.フロント対応、そしてその後の苦情対応があまりにもひどいと感じました。海外から来日した母が宿泊し、久しぶりの再会だったため、フロントにいた短髪の女性スタッフに写真を1枚撮ってもらえないかとお願いしました。無理な要求ではなく、その時フロントもほぼ空いていました。ところがそのスタッフは、「そういうサービスはないです」と、非常に冷たく突き放すような態度で即座に拒否しました。忙しい、他の業務があるといった事情があったとしても、この言い方が接客として適切だとは到底思えません。この件についてメールで連絡しましたが、日曜日＋平日2日間まったく返信がありませんでした。2通目を送ってようやく返ってきた内容も、態度の問題には触れず、自己正当化するだけの非常に形式的なものでした。その後、接客態度そのものについて改めて説明を求めましたが、そのまま無視され、返信はありません。不手際があったこと以上に、利用者の感じた不快感を軽視すること、都合の悪い点には触れず、最終的には黙ってやり過ごそうとする姿勢に、強い不信感を覚えました。二度と利用しません。サービスを重視する方には、正直おすすめできないホテルです。

  Easy access to to Hanshin & Hankyu

  We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The location is near Hanshin and Hankyu stations. There are a lot of attractions near this hotel including restaurants, coffeeshops and boutiques. The hotel is a bit bigger than the usual Japan hotel rooms. The bathroom has a cute bath tub and electronic toilet. The room is very clean. Comes with complimentary bottled water at the lobby. Take as many as you need. I always take two every time I go up the room or go out of the hotel. There’s also a 7eleven across this hotel for your quick fix of food/drinks at night.

  Hotel is about 10 min walk from Sannomiya Seishin Yamate station easy connection to Shinkansen station at shin-Kobe. There’s an underpass that links to the shopping street. Very convenient especially in the cold winter. About 15 min walk from the port liner. Not the nearest hotel but for the price, room size and quality, it’s value for money. 5 min walking distance to Daimaru department store. Lots of food and shopping nearby. The twin room is large even has a sitting area for 2. New hotel environment with comfy beds but only 1 pillow. Double sides- one hard one soft. The toilet has a large bath tub and modern toilet. The hotel lobby also has a selection of bath salts for you to enjoy soaking in your bath tub after a long day. Free water bottles for drinks too. Only downside of amenities is the toothbrush is sooo hard! They should select a soft type. Room cleaning is efficient and removed all trash. Good hotel to choose when visiting Kobe. Walking distance to many attractions like Meriken park, even Kitano foreign district around 15-20min. Lifts are too small though. Can only carry about 4-5 people with luggage each time. So prepare to leave early or you will wait a long time for lift at peak hour.

  New hotel in the centre of Kobe

  Stayed at the Kobe Luminous Sannomiya recently and really enjoyed my time there. The hotel is very modern with a flatscreen TV that can connect to Netflix. The bathroom is larger than the previous business style hotels I have been in and there is room in the living area to store my bag and clothes could be laid out on the oversized window ledge. It was very roomy for the business style hotel. The hotel is steps from the Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae Station on the Kaigan Line, a 10 min walk to Chinatown, 15 min to Harbour Land and about a 5-10 min walk to Sannomiya Station. This hotel is very central for a base while exploring Kobe and the area. The staff was great and the breakfast was pretty decent as well. And of course, a 7-11 was right across the street.

  Very new hotel in central district Kobe

  We booked here at short notice because our original hotel was awful and smelled so bad of smoke. This Hotel was very well priced and appears to be only a few years old. Service was perfect and the room was immaculate. Wifi. 55" TV. Separate bathroom and toilet. Best location for restaurants, shopping and access to Sannomiya station. We stayed 3 nights here and would highly recommend it. If I return to Kobe I will come straight to this hotel. Supposedly 3 star but it is easily 4 star. Kobe is fun and perfect for tourists because it has the best shopping and food in Japan, in my opinion. Hire some bikes and head over to Harborland, there is a lot going on there.
